I'm a scifi junkie so my main draw to this movie is the futuristic tech element it exhibits and the CGI used in making it. Also, if you're a Jason Statham fan, you would probably find this a movie a drool factor.

I really enjoy movies with Jason Statham in them. I was expecting a so-so "B" movie but this was actually entertaining and a bit of a take-off on Jaws. I kept waiting for them to say "We need a bigger boat". :-)

Honestly A Fun Film If You’re Into The Big Cheesy Monster Movie Genre Such As Deep Blue Sea, Lake Placid, Anaconda Etc. Jason Statham Fans Won’t Be Disappointed Either. Fun Popcorn Flick...Check It Out!

My laptop expectations going into this movie we’re not high. I figured it was a decent plot line that would be made to be cheesy and I was pleasantly surprised that it was very entertaining and made fairly well.

The action was a little tamer than many of Jason's previous movies, but he is getting older. He is a very good actor, and this one he gets to be the smart one in the room, in addition to his action skills.

This is a Jaws movie on steroids. So the shark is much bigger and of course now looks a lot more realistic. You’ll probably feel nervous about swimming in the ocean after watching this. lol

a very expensive movie with usual characters and the promised big shark. but...same old movie, same usual characters, and a very big large-toothed shark with no personality. just like all the others he eats a lot. see? you knew that. well, that is all there is here. same'ole, same'ole. nothing at all is new or different we have not seen many times already. they have spent a lot of money here, but it didn't buy any thrills, chills or moments of fright or wide eyes. I am really sorry there wasn't a director that would make us blink a little.

4k version is quite good . the dolby atmos added another dimension to the movie , The movie itself had Jason Stratham with a very good supporting cast and a interesting twist along the way

I noticed this movie when it was first released but wasn’t interested because I like Jason S using his martial arts skills in his movies, but Curiosity got the best of me and I brought the 4K Blu Ray and I love it. It’s an awesome movie

the movie was entertaining enough, not exactly looking for Schindler's List quality when watching a movie about a prehistoric shark terrorizing a group of divers. good popcorn flick though

If you are going into this movie with high expectations, you are going to be disappointed. But if you go in with an open attitude and enjoy the comedy of it all, you are going to have a great time.

I enjoyed this movie overall. The storyline was well written. It had the typical romance that goes with these type of thrillers but it had some nice twists and turns that made it unique.

Entertaining movie at a budget price = amazing! I got this on sale for about $8 which is outstanding for a 4k steelbook. Overall movie is ok and entertaining, but no kind of movie magic.

Any Jason Statham movie is a good time, this is one of his better. Good CGI - decent storyline, credible characters. One of my guilty pleasures to watch over and over again via digital streaming.

HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOVIE FOR YEARS. READ THE BOOK YEARS AGO AND THEY DID A PRETTY GOOD JOB WITH THE MOVIE. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE SEQUEL. THE MEG BOOK SERIES IS OUTSTANDING AND WORTH THE READ. WORTH READING AND OWNING THE FILM.

This is a great action movie that is an updated version of the 70s era monster movies like JAWS. The special effects are good and so is the story. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed watching.

This was really good popcorn entertainment. A fan of Jason Statham & nice to see him in non-action movie. He showed some diversity by displaying humor and compassion while not losing the rough exterior. Highly anticipating a potential sequel.

This was a good movie especially if you enjoy watching movies with sharks. It was jaws coming to life but 3 times bigger, great cast also but if you gear large fish don’t watch it.

My man Jason gives you what you want and the heart pounding rush of adrenaline is on point. The characters play well together and I’d recommend watching the movie with your family. Heart wrenching, nail biting thrilling ride of excitement.

I love shark movies and had fun with this one. Can’t take it too seriously. Good jump-scares. After first viewing I thought it wasn’t so great, but as time passed, I couldn’t wait to watch it again. Acting wasn’t so hot, but worth a watch.
