I was totally impressed with this movie. It is too bad we have lost touched with history as we have. Thank God for the memories of a few that made this movie so good. It is hard to believe what happened did but history is what it is.

Loved it start to finish... I'm sure it doesn't faithfully reflect the real events, but a great tale that teaches while entertaining. Watched it twice the night it arrived and am planning to watch it again this weekend with my kids

Monuments Men was really worth the time. It was interesting to understand the intricacies of war especially how aggressors try to commit genocide and cultural domination on multiple levels..... Also let us not forget plain old greed.

it is a great movie with all exceptional actors - it is a true story during a marked wartime period that shows a different side of war. it is about how these soldiers saved some great art that was stolen by Hitler & his like people.

A good movie about something not so well known that happened during the war. It was slightly reminiscent of the "Ocean's" movies, which was my only criticism. (I love the Ocean movies, but not what I was looking for in this movie.)

I bought this even though I've never seen it all the way through. But what I saw I loved it. You can't go wrong with all these great cast members. Lots of hilarious punch lines & decent action scenes make this a must watch.

It was good that it told a story that was mostly unknown - the recovery of stolen artwork during world war 2. The story breaks apart and looses opportunities for better character development. It falls short in spots but worth a look.

Monuments Men is a great movie for history buffs, it will give you a good appreciation for the effort and sacrifice that went into saving art during WWII. It was fun watching the all star cast. Serious at times, funny at times.

This "The Monuments Men" disc features outstanding video, a terrific lossless soundtrack, and a "decent" selection of bonus content. If you are a fan of this type of movie, you should have no reservations about buying.

What a cast! Some of George Clooney's best acting yet,love it when he tells the German about the deli.They all shine, who knew John Goodman could be an action hero? The story is one that should have been told long ago, Even those who are not art lovers can appreciate men with a goal that will not be denied.

I saw this in the theater and wanted to have my own copy. I'm not sure how factual the story is, but it is very interesting. To think how much art had been stolen and not all of it recovered, is a shame.

This movie is great because it's got a lot of facts in the movie about things I knew nothing about. I'm not a big art buff but it's really cool to learn about these brave men and women or died trying to protect them.

A story about the war that very few people were aware of and the last of these men just passed this year. None of these men should be forgotten. There are more sides to war than just people dying. We have to preserve our past with fine art and buildings so the future can have an inspiration for their lives.

Not really a war movie, but an "against the clock" rescue tale that takes place during a war (WW2). A fairly large cast that does a great job in presenting one of the odder stories coming out of the war.

This is a true story of actual events and needed to be brought out. We all know about the Holocaust, but there were other things going on at the time that most of us were/are unaware of. The wanton destruction of these works of art and the efforts of those who tried to save them is a story worth telling.

The Monument Men is by far one of the finest films portraying the best qualities of mankind as these soldiers set out to save the Western Societies most artistic treasures. The real soldiers are to be commended for their sacrifice in saving the art of the Western World for generations to come.

The movie itself was excellent. The special features were much more than just makeweights - interviews with surviving members of the real Monuments Men were fascinating. Thoroughly enjoyed the cast - nobody seemed other than right for the part. Nice blend of action, suspense, and even some humor.

A great cast provides an interesting look at history. It's funny to think that without the monuments men we would not have some of our great works of art today. Great film fittingly released around Memorial Day.

A great true story we never heard about in any History or Art Appreciation class and should have. With the seeming slow demise of patriotic spirit, it's nice to see liberal leaning Hollywood do a movie that reflects the selflessness and self sacrifice of those who put our country before person.
