Although this movie strays abit on facts, it portrays a meaningful aspect of war and the efforts and sacrifices made by good men to preserve human heritage.

The Monuments Men Is a wonderful movie. Though it would probably be classified as a war moive there is little fighting. It's more about perserverence and dedication to an important task. The acting is terrific by everyone in the movie. Will enjoy watching this movie again and again.

Very well written and historically accurate, Monuments Men is a must see movie! A list cast round out one of the best releases of 2013. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of world war 2 or anyone who is a fan of fine art, both genres are combine beautifully in this film.

history scholar. so much was lost during ww2. it was either destroyed or went to private persons. if we had not went looking. so pieces. they could be lost forever.cast was excellent you would believe there honesty in finding the pieces.great movie if you love historical information.

If you are or even if you are not a history buff it's a very interesting subject that really has not been discussed much. Great line of actors with which I believe people can relate to as every day folk.

This movie is a great reference to the past. I wouldn't say it's the best historically accurate movie, but it is pretty good. Shows a different side of the war that you don't always hear or learn about.

I didn't think this movie was going to be that great based on the previews but I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it so much. The blu has a great picture and surround sound as well.

High quality disc and case. Movie is excellent and tells a true story about the saving of artwork during the war. Details are excellent with Blu ray version of the movie. Highly recommend.

I was intrigued by the historical perspective of this movie. Some of the stolen art is still being discovered, with efforts to get it back to the original owners. The movie seemed disjointed, however, with several story lines going on at once, and no real cohesion. It seemed poorly written. Even the deaths of team members did not evoke much emotion, as the characters were not well-developed. The best scene was Bill Murray sharing a cigarette with a young German soldier, as it was a moment of refuge, a moment of truce for those who don't want to kill or be killed.

Good movie about a serious subject, true story from WW2, however it is interspersed with comedic comments and moments that make it seem even more real. Very good cast who play off each other very well.

I thought this film was very entertaining. As ensemble cast films go, sometimes it can take away from the story but I rooted for these characters up to the end. Video quality = outstanding the 4K master is what every film should be. Audio quality = great Extras = solid

Really educational movie regarding European art history and our role in helping preserve them. Casting/actors, directing, film locations (I could go on endlessly). Great entertainment. A must have!!

The movie is enjoyable but is slow. It does make you think about what is valuable and worth risking lives to recover. It also adds suspense when there is a race to recover the most valued art pieces.

This movie flowed well and the actors chosen were well placed. There was a lot of history left out that was covered in the Europa documentary but it did still stand alone as an enjoyable, histo-pic.

Enjoyed this film very much. There was a lot, perhaps too much, to fit into the time alloted. Segments hopped around and were a bit dis-jointed leaving us to guess what went on in the middle.

I went into this movie not expecting a lot. I was greatly surprised. It was fantastic. The actors were great and the storey was great. It was a part of history I didn't know about and I felt they portrayed the history well. It is worth watching and buying.

Art and historical events are superbly presented by a great cast. We are rarely able to watch this movie without having a lot of emotion that people actually did these things.

This is a good movie. We enjoyed it. We were a bit surprised that they traveled so much of German in only on Kubelwagen, other other it was an enjoyable film and is now a part of our collection.

A well written, acted and directed film. That brought to light this group of American, British and French, Art historians, Architects, Artists to find,rescue and preserve 1,000's of pricless works of art confiscated by Hitler's SS, during World War II.

As art lovers, my wife and I enjoyed hearing the story of the Monument Men. A great historical story that needs to be remembered. I'm very curious about how accurately the story was told. Of course, some creative license is taken, but I hope the basic facts are true.
