I like that it has its own program to sort all scans and summarize info on them. The only issue I have with it (keep in mind I'm slightly OCD when it comes to these things) is that I sometimes have to scan full size docs several times before I can get them to scan straight.

It is a neat scanner that can read (most of the time) the vendor, receipt sales tax and total amounts. It seems to get a little slow when a lot of receipts are scanned. I have over 600 but it is still better than manually keeping receipts that fade over time.

The scanner was very easy to set up and use. It makes storing important documents easy and you don't have to have a lot of space to keep them in.

Helped do taxes. I had my questions answered quick. Easy to use.

This is a great little tool for organizing your documents and getting rid of clutter. I only wish it was easier to export the scans to other applications or email or use the scanner with other apps, skipping Neat's proprietary app altogether.

I have not utilized the Neat scanner to its full potential yet - but so far it's pretty... well, neat! It says that it can work alongside Quicken programs. Will have to test that another day, but for now... no troubles! :]

since I try to keep all my receipts they take up a lot of space when trying to file them. So, being able to scan them lets me save them on a computer rather than in an envelope or a folder. I am hoping that this will be a good solution for me long term.

Scan quality is very good/clear. Software download and install was quick and easy. NEAT program runs without problems and is simple to get started entering receipt(s) info. Only glitch is in OCR software not interpreting store names on the receipt as a logo/picture.

Very compact and light weight. Good value. Great for scanning receipts especially on travel trips.

Fits great in a computer bag. I travel with it all the time. It's a little hard to get the pages to feed in straight but does a good job.

I am very pleased with the Neatreceipt scanner. Even though it does not read all of the receipts with 100% accuracy, it has a wonderful feature that allows you to correct the information.

Overall, this is a good tool to organize information of various types, particularly receipts. Two complaints: 1) You have to verify scans into the system, which is good as some receipts I have a hard time locating key information and sometimes so does Neat (although generally it does better than I can). Sometimes corrections have to be made (no big deal). However, the complaint is that for some reason, once corrections are made, sometimes the system doesn't recognize the corrections the first time, particularly if you send many scans to the software. It seems like the second time through it does enter the software, but by then you may be beyond that and on to other things and may miss that it didn't take. 2) The cost of the annual storage service is high, if you choose to use their cloud service, which is convenient. Needs to be about half the cost of what it currently is. The convenience of establishing your own file structure and saving files to that structure has great potential for time savings in the future. I bought the scanner as I travel around and wanted it with me. So far, it works good. We will see how well the portable scanner holds up to the abuse of not being fixed in one location and being jostled around, not hard but constant.

good thing I got the warranty. the USB was weak and cracked. Then the Software stopped working took me 1 month to find out why it wouldnt work with windows. Apparently you have to delete some IDX file. and it worked again. But it's been sitting for 1 year need to take it back to Best Buy for the new USB. Not the greatest purchase ever made...
