Bowie's first album in ten years definitely doesn't disappoint! It took a few listens before I was really getting into the songs on this album, but now I can't stop listening to it. Every song is fantastic and very listenable. I bought the deluxe version which has some additional bonus tracks, because I absolutely love everything that Bowie does. I highly recommend this album if you like Bowie's music, you won't be disappointed!

It is great to see and hear the long awaited return of the Iconic David Bowie. The music and lyrics are classic Bowie. They show his artistic style has remained, while being current. This album should satisfy the most ardent of fans and attract a new base of younger listeners.

Although Bowie's voice has seen better days the songs on this collection are top rate. Bowie does not disappoint here. The guitar work is fantastic and the lyrics as always are excellent. This is a must-have for any Bowie fan.

Similar to Johnny Cash's last few records in that you can definitely hear the age in their voices. A good record but if you're expecting vintage Bowie like many magazine reviews claim, you will sadly be disappointed. So a 5 star record?....no, but still better than most of the overly polished garbage out there now.

OMG ... Best New music that I have bought in 2013. If you like Bowie during any of his phases you will love this CD. I have been thinking about buying the vinyl as well

I have been a fan of Bowie for many, many years and was absolutely delighted to see him put out a new album. I wish I could say this is a great album, but unfortunately I can't...it's just average at best. A lot of the music reminds me of where he left off around 2003/2004 and it's clear he can't sing in quite the way he used to. It's still a good album, and I'm sure many people will still enjoy it, but I found I didn't replay it as much as I have some of his previous albums.

I'm a Bowie fan and was not disappointed with the purchased.

A "must" addition to the music collection of all Bowie nostalgic fans.

“The Next Day” by David Bowie features songs that touch on a wide range of human conditions. This cd has elements of new-wave, 80’s rock, and modern rock combined in many of the songs. “Dancing Out In Space”, “You Will Set The World On Fite”, “Plan”, and “I’ll Take You There” are some of the multiple strong songs on “Next Day” that capture the panorama of life experiences. “The Next Day” by David Bowie would most likely resonate with those who are open to listening to music that carefully blends 80’s romantic rock with modern day rock music elements.

Another excellent step forward for David Bowie. Very thoughtful tunes that rock out as much as any of his Berlin-era or Aladdin Sane era records. This the album to satisfy all you fanatics wishing for another Low or Heroes. Bowie never repeated himself with Scary Monsters so don't expect a rehash. Get off your nostalgia stasis move forward or stay left behind with all the rest of the shallow groupies. It recalls Bowie's past fire with laser sight for the future, get with it.

Talk about a melange of songs encompassing his past, present, and future. Introspective in some parts, yet not maudlin or melancholy. Very, very listenable, and even appeals to my 16 year-old son. It is great to know that Mr. Bowie cannot be counted out, and still has the passion in him to compose songs that are fresh, relevant, and appealing.

This is a truly great return to form for Bowie. It builds on Heathen and Reality to create something truly great. A shame that the cover is so rubbish.

Mr. Bowie has always been one of my favorites. 10 years away from making music hasn't dulled his edge one bit!

I like David Bowie a lot. I'm extremely glad he's made another album. However, this is not necessarily my favorite. Worth picking up if you're a fan, though.
