Pretty, but not really engaging. The Tchaikovsky elements seemed grafted on. The ballet stuff (Misty Copeland) was nice, but it could have been omitted without affecting the story. Keira Knightly was unrecognizable.

It’s a pretty simple movie and an interesting take on the Nutcracker take. If you’ve watched a few movies in your time you can see the plot twists coming from a mile away, but overall it is still a decent movie.

Much like the much anticipated Disney movie "A Wrinkle in Time" (which also underperformed), this movie looks and sounds amazing, but is so full of CG that it ignores most if not all of the characters.

This movie is visually beautiful. The story had great potential to be an epic tale, but was just a bit lacking. Over all it's a decent movie. This edition comes with a great collectible steelbook.

Interesting plot difference regarding the role of the mice. Nice Dickensian vibe to the landscape of the English city. Blue Ray implementation seemed a bit dull. Didn't recognize Kiera Knightly

The dvd/blu ray digital copy is priced fairly. Digital gets you the movie access on movies anywere which is nice on the go. Not my favorite movie that disney has made but the kids enjoyed it

Its a ok movie. Broken in alot of places. Story is non cohesive feels like you are missing parts to it Great graphics though good ending. Love the steel book cover though.

I enjoyed the movie but was a little disappointed in the adventure aspect after watching the preview at Disneyworld. It was a good movie but not what you expect from Disney.

Still haven't seen the movie yet but it did only get mediocre reviews. I only bought it because i thought it looked interesting and the family really wanted to see it.

I enjoyed this for a holiday movie. Beautiful, but not a strong story line. Strong Dolby Atmos sound track. Need a "depends" button on would I recommend to a friend

Went for the young teen girls on this one. Not quite a Princess movie/Good use of Classical Music/Very Pretty backgrounds scenes/Light on the story side......

I feel so disappointed for not having watched this movie on the big screen back in 2018, I decided to buy it last week when BB dropped its price to $12 in SteelBook “I’m a SteelBook collector”. My review is right after I watched it. Super amazing, music and acting is entreating. From being disappointed to glad and excited by this movie. I loved it so much as I’m big fan of classical and Tchaikovsky is one of my favorite and this movie played it so nice. Great movie for the entire family!

I'm honestly not sure what to say about this movie. I'm glad I got it, but at the same time don't see myself watching it again in the next couple years.

I love the ballet "Nutcracker". This movie came out and I had to see it! I did not know it would be a sequel to the original ballet. The movie is great if you like stories like "Nutcracker". However, if you like blood and guts movies, or action movies, then this movie is not for you. There is a ballet section in this movie and I just love watching it! Of course, I knew what was in the locked egg long before she was able to open it.

The settings and art decoration was wonderful, the acting alright some of it a bit overdone, and the story seemed a bit slow. Probably best for kids.

This is not the traditional Nutcracker story, however, if you are looking for another Christmas movie, this is a very colorful reality meets fantasy featuring characters & elements from the traditional nutcracker ballet. The vibrant costumes are lovely and the story is interesting. The mouse king may be a bit scary for little kids. It has a good ending, and I would recommend it.

Given the so-so reviews and lackluster box office (or so I recall) for this movie, I went in with lower expectations. The movie itself was a pleasant surprise, reminiscent in many ways of the original Chronicles of Narnia film with the character exploring a new realm after passing through a magic portal. It's not as good as that film, but definitely worth a watch if you enjoy this type of movie.

I saw a number of negative reviews on it and I was totally surprised to see how much I enjoyed it. It's very different from the classic Nutcracker story, but it's an interesting story nonetheless, accompanied by impressive visuals. In a nice touch, the movie also features a nice tribute to Walt Disney's Fantasia. I was also impressed when I heard so much of Tchaikovsky's music in the score.
