    An attempt to revisit the popular film comedy, THE WOMEN, as a r movie musical, it entertains but doesn't quite climb to the heights of it's original. Starring June Allyson, Joan Collins, Dolores Gray, Ann Sheridan and Ann Miller, all the classic lines and dizzy characterizations remain intact, but THE OPPOSITE SEX strives at its best to be merely a light entertainment. Beautiful in Technicolor and fabulous costuming, the viewer will enjoy a dazzling Hollywood film with musical numbers that are not necessarily filled with show-stopping songs, but move the plot along to the expected happy ending.
