Purchased from a friends suggestion from a point of view from someone who was there. Kandahar will be my next purchase when it comes out

Bought it because friend who served said it was one of those movies that came as close to how it really was and for that reason I haven’t been able to watch it

Excellent delivery, Blu-ray works perfectly. The movie is outstanding with a great storyline. Played flawlessly on my DVD player.

Very good war movie looks great in 4k and soundtrack was really good

As realism goes, this film is in the league of: 12 STRONG, 13 HOURS: THE SECRET SOLDIERS OF BENGHAZI, Black Hawk Down, SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, and WE WERE SOLDIERS, and it is representative of the fighting qualities and spirit of the U.S. soldier. The film is a fairly realistic portrayal of the routine and the boredom of a Combat Outpost and yes, the expected daily gun fight thanks to the Taliban. This is a story of an unexpected great gunfight. With little warning, all hell broke loose on the morning of October 3, 2009 at 0600[6:00AM) and lasted the entire day into the night – a very tough fight ensued on both sides who were both intent on their mission accomplishment. Finally the U.S. Army, in the late of the late of the evening, was triumphant, but at a high cost: 8 KIA, over 20 wounded of a total force of 57 U.S. Soldiers. The film is a study in close combat realism and tactics. All the cast members were on-point and turned very realistic performances, and fortunately the film’s Director knew what he was doing – thus, the totally great view for the movies audience. Be sure to see the film though the Ending Credits.   In every respect, this film is a realistic depiction of the Battle of Kamdesh at Combat Base Keating on October 3, 2009. All the elements of the gunfight that day were portrayed to include absolute fear, the gallantry of some, and the steadfastness of all to their duty to others. In the end, the fight was won and the commands colors continued to fly. Few films portray the realism and courage of the desperate fight that day but this film put to screen the credit that was due to all that day and night

A great one here this film exemplifies what every dedicated and brave service men and women go through in thier mission to get things done while they are outgunned and outnumbered they bond together as brothers as one to overcome all impossible odds while staring down a bullet and looking death in the face these guys are the reason we fight so hard to protect our freedoms and liberties without ever giving up hope and relying on one another in ultimate grave situations they are true American heroes the real G.I. Joes they'll never give up they'll stay till the fights won G.I. Joe's are there fighting for freedom over land and air G.I. Joe a real American hero! G,I.Joe is there!

These soldiers were amazing in their bravery to withstand such an assault. When I saw the outpost location my first thought was who would place this base in a valley surrounded by mountains. Everyone who was ever in combat knows that you want the high ground. Guess somebody wasn't thinking. An awesome movie just the same. Two Medal Of Honor Recipients were in this battle for their lives.

One of the better war stories ever told. True story, this should have been a series so much was left out, but hard to tell the whole story and individual acounts of what these men endured in just a couple of hours. The book was awesome. The movie was really good though . 2 medal of honor recipients came from this 1 battle. And countless other medals were also awarded . If you like true war stories then this movie will not disappoint.

This movie deserves 6 stars! It's THAT good! Several of the service members who were at the real Outpost were involved with/in the movie. The realism is beyond measure. I CANNOT put into words how well this movie was made. This version is the extended directors cut adding 12mins & additional extras so if you bought the bluray before, yes it's worth buying it again. It helps veterans too so that's worth it even more.

This was a good movie with a good story line. Plenty of war time fighting and many heroes with combat experience and many new to the war front that really performed above and beyond the call of duty. Even let you know they are human and thinking of their loved ones back home. Very well acted and keeping it real to the horrors of war. A bit costly but in the end worth every penny spent. This is a must add to any war movie collection.

Good movie and based very loosely on a true story. Lots of action and some intense battle scenes -- all done very well. Picture is so so, but soundtrack is awesome -- of course, not good for the neighbors if they don't like gunfire and lots of explosions. Good modern war movie based on Afghanistan.

Not a fan of Scott Eastwood, but this movie won me over. A true depiction of an awful event in the history of wars. Real men, real emotion. This shows men are capable of courage, honor, and great love for their comrades. None of us know how we will react when it hits the fan. This movie gives an accurate look into that window. 4K is awesome.

Gritty, shocking, touching, action packed and real to boot. A dedication to the soldiers, their camaraderie, their resourcefulness and bravery against overwhelming odds. The 4K image is more than a few notches above the standard HD presentation that I saw on Netflix. The soundtrack explodes shortly after the movie starts and rarely lets up.

A lot of action without a lot of name stars. I was a good price and I didn't think it would be that bad and it wasn't. I would definitely recommend this to friends or anybody else that would listen about it. It was good enough with the action shown maybe I should have gotten it in 4K.

I have read a few reviews and most of them have really enjoyed this movie which has been available to stream on Amazon prime and other services and most have really liked this action packed drama and I waited to buy my physical copy on blu-ray and can't wait to see it.

Im a huge fan of scott eastwood and this is a great role for him. Its not only a great story, its well told with an awesome cast and cinematography! whether your a war movie fan, history fan or a fan of these fine actors, this is a keeper for sure!

This movie was perfect, matter fact watch it twice. Hats off to the producers because this movie was on point with realty and hummer. So take my hat of to the producers .

My wife and I were able to see this movie in our local movie theater and were happy we were able to purchase it at a good price from BestBuy and really enjoyed watching it and we are looking forward to watching it as often as we want.

Incredible movie, probably one of the best true stories I have ever seen. Audio is fantastic and its amazing ti see in 4K.

One of the best, most realistic war movies covering the War in Afghanistan. One on a very short list of my favorites for war movies. Would have made it very big if it had a chance to hit the big screens.
