Not quiet as good as Band of Brothers, but totally worth watching. Has never looked better than these disks, and the metal case it came in looks good on the shelf and gives the set a premium feel.

I love the full series. The characters are real and tell the story of what WW2 in the Pacific was like. I like how they used real veterans that were there to help tell this story.

I've watched this series in DVD and watching it in blu-ray is almost like seeing it the first time. This series comes in the metal box full package edition and is well worth the Black Friday price of $10 plus tax.

First i got this at a great price, great picture and great sound. If you like war movies you can not go wrong with this series. I also own Band of Brothers and with this addition of The Pacific it completes my series collection. Would recommend this to anyone who loves these kind of movies!!!

Both Hanks and Spielberg have an affinity for the WWII era and it shows in Band of Brothers. Many times violent but often touching this is a must for any aficionado of the WWII era. This mini series is a once in a lifetime deep dive into the perennial event that shaped "The Greatest Generation".

Hanks and Spielberg provide a wrenching story of the Gyrenes bringing the highs and lows and plenty action to our living rooms. Every character is well drawn. Another worthy tribute to the "greatest generation."

This series is one of the best! Right along with Band of Brothers this tells stories of the Marines who fought the Japanese in the Pacific. The stories are so gripping and the characters make it seem like it's more of reality than a show. Highly recommended for any fans of war films.

So glad I found this series on Blu-ray at a great price. While it is not quite as good as the companion series, Band of Brothers, it is definitely worth watching. It is historically accurate and highly entertaining! Also, the metal case it comes in is an awesome bonus!

Great doc-u-Movie. This movie is almost like watching the films taken during WWII. The action and combat as I would think it would have been in original footage if they have better cameras and film.

This mini series was remarkably well done. It gave a very accurate account of what it was really like as a Marine in the war. Not only was the story great, the acting was great, characters were easy to relate to. Really enjoyed the filming, the effects were awesome. All in all, a really great show.

Amazing characters that are based on true stories and the campaign in Iwo Jima was breathtaking and visceral. It was very hard to watch at times, but it gives you a major respect for what our veterans went through. Best War experience i've seen since Saving Private Ryan.

Such an amazing series and it's great to have in blu-ray - the A/V seems much higher quality than when you stream it. If you haven't seen it, it's a must watch and if you have - this is currently the best way to watch it!

I saw this when it first came out in 2010, then started watching again with my recent purchase. Very good series. Band of Brothers is still my favorite ww2 mini-series, but this does a great job about the Pacific side.

I bought this set to upgrade to Blu-ray from my DVD collection! Best Buy had the best price including free shipping! This is a must buy for history buffs regarding WWII in the Pacific (Ocean)! This set has both great sound and picture! Highly recommend!

As a huge history buff I loved Band of Brothers. As someone whose grandfather was on Iwo Jima I hoped that they would continue the story in that theatre. They did not disappoint. I actually felt a sense of pride watching this series.

I think that this film about the efforts of the Marine Corp actions during WW-Two and some of the individual men is great. I think it gives people who have never been in the military an idea of just how difficult the life and efforts of the troops really is, especially during war time.

What Band of Brothers was to the Army in Europe The Pacific is to the Marines in the... Well, the Pacific. It's darker, more about the horror of war and the individuals are more spread out than one tight unit. Highly recommend.

Could not pass up the chance to add this series in blue-ray edition because Best Buy had it on sale at an incredible price. If you enjoyed Band of Brothers series involving the European campaign during WW2 this series, as it's title says, showcases the Pacific campaign.

Enjoyed this miniseries very much. This is a companion piece to the acclaimed miniseries "Band of Brothers". I would argue that "Band of Brothers" was better, but both are great. The production quality of this miniseries is very professional and outstanding.
