As "Band of Brothers" told the story of US soldiers in Europe in WW II, this does the same for our solders in the Pacific. Bonus: seeing a great portrayal of "Chesty" Puller.

I had this series in DVD, but wanted it in BD. Fortunately, Best Buy has it for a very reasonable price. Not only are the scenes better with BD, but there are additional special features for it. I intend to get Band of Brothers nex.

As every bit as emotionally involving and dramatically intense as "Band of Brothers", and maybe even better. It's also one of the most truthful mini-series ever shown on television. Absolutely imperative for the WWII buffs!

Great sale price meant Dad gets HBO Pacific this year. I watched it when it first aired, hoping he enjoys it as much as I did. His dad was stationed in South Pacific and I hope will give a perspective Grandpa wasn't able to relate about.

The pacific Was a glimpse during World War II some action is slow paced but he gets to know the characters just like band of Brothers I rewatched it again during the quarantine of 2020

Companion piece to Band of Brothers. I’m more a fan of the Western Front of WW2, but the stories of these real-life heroes in the Pacific conflict is just as compelling

Amazing show with an amazing cast. After watching Band of Brothers, The Pacific is a must watch and buy. Truly an amazing story during our World's most terrible war.

Had Band of Brothers already. This just completed the set. As with Band of Brothers, many special features. Get much more in depth story of the real lives of these vets that served in the Pacific Theater in World War II. Very nice package.

This was purchased as a gift for my husband. He loved it so much that we purchased it for his father who served in the Pacific. Wonderful depiction to help you understand just what they actually went through. I highly recommend this.

This is a great series if you want to see what it was really like for soldiers to fight in the Pacific theater during World War II. I can't enough about the quality of this well produced, well acted program

A truly great HBO series that never received the popularity of it's predecessor "Band of Brothers". A part of World War II that truly needed to be told. What these soldiers went through is nothing short of amazing.

Fantastic series! A very good look into the trauma and conflict that the U.S. had to face in WW2. I would recommend watching band of Brothers and then this one.

This is such a great product to watch & see what some Marines went through during WWII. How it was & getting to know a little bit about one of The Marine Corps greatest Marines: Colonel Chesty Puller. Great man & even better Marine!

Any work, be it a poem, a book, a movie, or a TV series, should be evaluated for what it is, not for what it is not. So I suggest forgetting comparisons to "Band of Brothers" and let "The Pacific" stand alone, which it does very well

A great depiction of the pacific theater of war and the stories told by those who served. A great work of art and just showing how rough it really was.

Pictorial and historical timeline of WW11, allowed me to put my fathers combat experience in perspective and putting all the pieces of the global military and political picture together! Great resource material!

Excellent movie. If you liked Band of Brother's, you'll enjoy this one too. It gives you a glimpse of what war is really like. It's definitely a must see.

The Pacific gives a unique view of the heroic men who fought for our the United States against the Japanese. It is very moving and gives one a great sense of debt to the men who actually endured the war in the Pacific

The Pacific is a fantastic HBO miniseries that is a lot like Band of Brothers though I wouldn't go into it expecting a show like that because its a bit different

My dad was stationed in the Pacific during WWII. He never talked about his experiences and, thanks to Steven and Tom, I have an idea how how difficult life was. Only God's grace brought him home to mom and me.
