Super slow, I waited for that moment that never came. The ending was the best part.

It was very slow. Not what I expected based on the cast. Very disappointing.

This movie is about the events surrounding the release of the Pentagon Papers of the early 1970's. This took place during Richard Nixon's ( Tricky Dick) Presidency. Daniel Ellsberg developed a sense of social conscience after spending time in the Vietnam war. He found out that the war was all a lie. He smuggled out copies of the war from it's beginning in the early 50's, to the end of the 60's.
This film is about how the owner of the Washington Post - Katherine Mary Graham played by Meryl Streep- has to decide whether or not to publish These papers. Tom Hanks plays her editor and close associate who influences her to eventually publish. Both of Streep's and Hanks performances are top-shelf!
This film illustrates the power of the press when its used wisely. You must ess this film!
