    Super Predator?

Ok. This is a reboot so I had to ignore known Predator flicks. The dark humour keeps you balanced enough to enjoy the almot "Suicide A Team" of heroes. My main issue lies in this, I cannot forget that the Predators are a hunter species that grow their proficiency by hunting challenging pray . . . not by upgrading themselves. That said, watching the scenes after the credits hint of a decent sequel. In short it is an action movie NOT a study in philosophy do not over think it.

    It was good, but...

I've always loved the first Predator movie, and when the third movie came out (Predators), I loved that one too, with the exception of the lead guy trying to make his voice sound like Batman. Being in the jungle setting, hunting whatevers hunting you, and running for your life, only to be wiped out by Predators, is the essence of a Predator movie to me. The second movie (Predator 2) has always felt like an outside movie to me, but only because it was based in the city, and because they picked an older person to have to fight a Predator hand to hand, knowing that if that had been a real fight, that he would've definitely lost. Why?? Because look how the Predator was throwing around Arnold in the first movie, but yet this old dude with hardly no muscle, is going toe to toe with one. That's never made since to me. And now this movie comes out. It looked to me that it was based in a small town, near a rock quarry on the outskirts of a wooded area, but definitely not a jungle. Overall, I thought it was good, but it just seemed like it was way too much playing around, to be a real Predator movie. I can understand a couple funny moments, but jokes all through the movie seemed a bit much. And their were two scenes with Predators that just should have been left out. One, was the Predator giving the thumbs up. Yeah, it was a joke, but no other Predator has made a joke up to this point. The second one was when the Big Predator spit. Look at their mouths!! Do they have lips??!!! How was he able to spit??!! I just felt that they shouldn't have tried to add that human characteristic to him, because it didn't really make since with the way their mouths are made. ...What about the Predators dog-like creature?? What became of it?? ...What about the girl?? Remember when the ship was flying away with the men on top of it?? That ship was a long way away from where they left the girl, but yet when it crashes, she pops up all of a sudden. How??!! How did she cover that distance that quick??!! I'm not saying the movie wasn't good, because it was good. Did it feel like a full on Predator movie, like 1 and 3?? No. I would put it along the line of being like part 2. Hopefully, the next movie will be like 1 and 3.

A Different Type of Predator Movie

Wasn't sure about this movie which I believe was panned by the critics, yet found that I enjoyed it. I grew up close to Hollywood and learned to enjoy movies for their entertainment value, not try to "read" anything in them. This is one of those movies - sit back and enjoy the ride. Definitely found myself doing that and liked the twist on Predator. The fight is changing and we may not be such an easy planet to fight anymore?

Every criticism of this movie is accurate. As a fan of the franchise I had to own this one. Lots of gore and action some laughs. Worth owning for the right price.

The very first Predator movie just has no equal. But they try really hard to give you the feel of the old on this one, a combination of the first film, and the urban feel of the second. But don't pass this by, it definitely worth a watch. Plenty of blood and gore, and sick predator tech! And it doesn't end there, they added some very good special guest actors that really liven up the film with good humor.

    Shane Black delivers in 4K

If you're a Shane Black fan, you had an idea of what to expect with his Predator sequel. The studio tampered with the production and significantly changed the final act, but despite some flaws including chaotic editing and uneven CGI, the film is still a fun, outrageous blast. The steelbook art easily bests the standard release and the 4K disc looks and sounds stunning. Pick it up!

Had heard that the new, latest Predator was campy and played for a lot of laughs...Wrong! Was pleasantly surprised just how good this latest version of the Predator or Predator 4 is. It does have some cute and quirky scenes with the military's mentals, but it works just like the original "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest." These guys are the right comrads to have with you during the malestrom of an alien invasion! Actually adds a touch of charm to a relatively serious sci-fi invasion movie. Hope there's another one...Predator 5, yeah!

Not A Typical Predator Movie - But Fun to Watch

It is a semi-funny action film with characters that reminded me of the A-Team. The predator action, when its on screen, is good too. The plot concerns a rogue predator who escapes his planet with a stolen object, which other predators on his planet want back. The planet where they all crash land of course is Earth. You'll have to watch it to see what happens next.

There is a strong length of entertaining and well written edited and performed movie in there but within the same movie, there are some poor writing in key points that is super annoying . The visual effects appear to be from the same era as the original movie, not in a good nostalgic way. It we so close to being a sequel to the first movie, but misses its mark.

The movie has suspense, action and good acting in it with a little comedy. It"s not the first predator but it defineatly is not 2 which is not in my collection. I will watch this again and again without hesitation. The graphics are better than any of the other ones I have. The actors are not Arnold or Jessie but that makes no difference because they did a good job. I didn't feel as if I was watching something thrown together just to make a buck like they do with some movies. They did it right and I cant wait to see if the new character is going to dominate loose or replace, but the dogs of war have got to stay.

While this is a far cry from the original two films in the series, Shane Black brings what he's learned from the MCU to his Predator series. The action beats are all extremely strong and extremely violent, and while the story is a little lopsided, the end product is more than satisfying as a sci-fi action story. Here's hoping for a follow-up!

I'm a fan of the Alien and Predator films but I have not been overly enthusiastic about the last few films. This latest entry into the Predator films was entertaining. I enjoyed watching it. If there are any more films planned for the future then they need to be as good as this one and better or don't make them at all.

No doubt none of the sequels in this franchise have lived up to the testosterone overload that the first was. This one didn't fair any better and seemed to get it's spine ripped out before it even hit the theaters based on the trailers and reviews. However, Shane Black at least made an enjoyable film despite not living up the original. Each time I rewatch this film I find myself liking it more. Visually, this is a clean looking disc and the audio is top notch. It doesn't pack the pecks of the first film, but it still has enough predator lore to make it a fun ride.

Very different from original Predator but it’s not a remake. If you’re a Predator fan, you’ll have fun with the action & comedy of Shane Black’s version. The team chemistry is great! Trevonte Rhodes, Key, Thomas Jane, Boyd Holbrook & Sterling K. Brown are awesome together. Original concept works in my opinion.

Just to be clear, this takes place after 2 and before 2010's Predators. Again, this is humans vs Predator back on Earth. Without saying much, there's a little twist with another Predator. I'm never one to say don't see a movie. If you've seen 1 or any of the others, check it out for good ol Predator fun.

if you're a fan of the Predator series than you'll like this. not the best one (how can you beat the original anyways) but a solid entry into the franchise. steelbook is really nice as well. unique & cool that The Predator head is made out of skulls & spines. also great glossy finish for the cover art.

Although a lot of people and critics did not like this film, I think it can be fully enjoyed. It's not great, or perfect, or anything like the original, but it's a lot of fun to watch. If you're a fan of creature films or a fan of the Predator franchise, there's no reason not to watch this movie.

I am not a movie critique, but I can criticize quality. Anyone who thinks they are watich 4K through any streaming service is just wasting their money. You have a 4K TV and a suround sound system then you need 4K BluRay disks. Audio and video qualty can't be matched from any other source.

Despite its bad reviews, I liked this movie. As long as you go into in not expecting the original Schwarzenegger predator and take this for what it is (a 2018 predator movie), you'll enjoy it just fine. Wasn't amazing, definitely far from the best of the series, but it was fun and watchable.

The "Predator" series has just been awesome from the word go. Even when they teamed up with "Alien", the movies just remained awesome. They just seem to get better as they go. "The Predator" is just awesome from the start to the end. Plenty of action through out and almost no slow parts they fill in a lot of info about the Predator species you would never have known about from before. This movie is high on my list of favorites. I believe this is the 5th movie, and it still hasn't jumped the shark. Definitely a must have.
