awsome movie great steelbook hghghghghghghgghgghghg

Overall, the movie is a step up in the right direction. The pacing helped to make the film more enjoyable to watch and not be refined inside of a home. Watching the Sergeant and his group run through the streets to avoid maniacs was fun and tense at times. There is even a surprise appearance in the film if you pay attention closely. From an acting and narrative stance, there are still things to be improved on but from what I’ve seen it works with some exceptions. If you have seen the first Purge and disliked it you may not like this film; however for those who like the concept but were disappointed last year, you may feel differently this time around. An intense thrill ride that won’t let up.

Again like my review of "The Purge Election Year" I found this film to be what the Purge should have been. I didn't buy the Original as it truly lacked the entire concept of being able to do anything you want. The original turned out to be nothing more than a home invasion film. However I highly recommend the Purge Anarchy & Election year! Both of these films bring what the first film lacked entirely. Bothe had great visual quality on my 180" theater screen as well as perfect sound on my 7.1 surround sound system to include the Buttkicker Transducer system. All in all this was a fun film and I recommend it with Election year!

I thought that The Purge was really good, but then you bring out the second one and it's even better. I think the second one help them kind of fix what held back the first movie. The suspense was better in Anarchy and it took it to a new level. I think that they made a great follow up to what was one of the better suspense/horror movies released in recent years. The Purge: Anarchy is played out on a bigger scale then its predecessor and you feel that this purge stretches beyond a single location. It helps drive the suspense onward. I thought this was a great movie and one of the better ones from 2014. Highly recommend this one.

This was better than the first one. Instead of just a home invasion, the action takes place on the streets with three main characters who are all very different in personality and objectives. There is a mom and daughter who had to flee their home, a couple whose car broke down, and a vigilante who is on a mission to avenge his son's death. The vigilante is the only one remotely prepared to fight. Even though the theme is still terrifying (in a really disgraceful way), the action is more interesting in this sequel and will make you feel that 'good' uneasy that you get from a horror film.

Anarchy gives us our second entry into the Purge universe, and Frank Grillo turns himself into a bonafide action hero with this role. In the first film we had an entire focus on one family trying to survive the purge night within their own home. This film takes it a step further and we see Frank as he ends up out at night in the heart of the downtown area while the purge is underway. I found this film far more entertaining than the previous entry, and it may just be my favorite of the four films.

Set in an almost too perfect society, where crime and poverty are at an all time low, there is one day where people are allowed to commit any crime for 12 hours. A dark thriller with some tense action, and an outstanding performance by Frank Grillo, as a mysterious man out to kill someone who suddenly has to be a hero to protect some innocent people caught in the middle of the bloodbath. A great action film with a mix of social commentary that I recommend to any action film fans.

I enjoyed the first "Purge", but this one takes it a step further and really improves on the premise. A true Purge from the purgers perspective. However, No Ethan Hawke. Oh I forgot , we lost him in the first movie.. However, with a plot that is more consistent than that of the first movie, A point of view, of action rather than protection, now enough blood, death and carnage (IMHO) this superior sequel still is worth the look. PS. offers an intriguing Hostel Cameo/to it.

I'm giving this the same rating as the first one because the first one gets a pass for setting up such an interesting concept, despite playing out as a home invasion story. The sequel doesn't retread the first film's story, but instead takes things to the streets. It's very entertaining, and it proves that there's enough life in this concept for at least a couple sequels.

More than worthy follow-up to The Purge, where this is a film that expands on the ideas expressed in the first, except the filmmakers manage to create something that is an improvement over the first. I felt that this film really gave more depth to the concept, and, in that regard, it offers much entertainment value for viewers that wanted something more out of the film. If you're looking for a skilfully crafted horror film, The Purge: Anarchy succeeds quite well at being a worthy follow up.

This is the sequal to "The Purge." Novel concept of societal control that allows an evening of lalwlessness to "purge" citiznes of any possible criminal behavior... until next year. There is a bit of evolution from the first movie (but it doesn't stray from the parameters that were set). The film sits well in the genre, good filmaking techniques were used, etc. Don't expect and Oscar winning film and you won't be disappointed.

This movie got panned by critics. Now while this isn't an amazing movie it is quite entertaining and a bit of a throwback to the older action movies, I think of the Warriors in a way of a group of people trying to get through the night while others are after them. It expands more on the idea of the Purge and you get to see more of what it's like in the city on that night instead of being locked in a house in the first movie.

This one is better than the first, which is rare for horror films. It has a ton of suspense, good level of action and all the gore you could ask for. It contains a lot of violence, in which I'm sure will bother some. They have a third installment in the works and I can't wait to go see it. If you have or haven't seen the first (which is good BTW) go out and buy this one. It's a great Halloween movie!

In this genre. It is a rarity for the sequel to be better than the first. But this one pulled it off. It took the concept of the first one and turned it into a complete chaos in a city. If you like horror movies check this one out. By the way, this movie contains gratuitous violence that may be offensive to many people who are not used to this kind of film. Recommended.

A step up from the first film, The Purge: Anarchy ramps up the action and takes the stifling and claustrophobic setting of the first film and throws it into the city streets on the night of the annual Purge. There's a lot more going on in this film, but many of the same social issues that dwelled beneath the surface of the first film are still relevant here. A worthy sequel.

I watched this because it offered a twist on the first movie. Plus, there weren't these annoying teenage kids and their parents who spoil them so much to the effect that you wanna slap them all in the face. So, I risked it and watched this movie after my disappointment in the first one. I was pleasantly surprised by the story, suspense and action. Highly recommend.

In this installment of the Purge we have a group of people who end up together on purge night. Each with a different story on how they ended up there. As a result they have to work together as a team to survive this years annual purge. In which takes place in downtown Los Angeles. Enough said.. Pick up you're copy today! Defently worth to pick up!

The first Purge had an interesting premise, but did very little with it. The Purge: Anarchy is what people were expecting from the first one. Lots of nice set pieces, likeable characters, and good use of the interesting premise. If you haven't seen the first film, you can still enjoy this film, since very little from the first movie is used.

This movie was great I enjoyed the first one but this was better. I thought the fact that they showed what goes on in the streets during the Purge rather than stay in the house location in the first film really put the horror in perspective Picture and sound were awesome AGAIN PLEASE STOP WITH THE ECO CUT OUT CASES they damage the cover art

I actually went to the theater to watch this movie. I actually love the sequel. The movie was amazing and towards the end it threw a real curve ball. I recommend everybody to purchase and add it to your library. There's a possibility I might watch again because the movie was so good.
