Although the non-action scenes can be laughably bad at times the action scenes make this a must own. This is currently THE movie to beat for the most incredibly realistic and brutal fight scenes that keep getting crazier as the film heads toward the big showdown which is to date the best fight scene ever filmed. The final scene was so impressive that both actors were hired to star in the upcoming Star Wars reboot. Highly recommended.

One of the coolest, craziest, goriest action movies I've ever seen. I had the pleasure of seeing this in a local theater when it screened for two days or so it seemed and simply had my mind blown by how insane the action scenes were. Some of the best violence ever put on screen. It's kind of like "Goodfellas" but with wicked and completely evil car chases, shoot-outs and hand-to-hand combat scenes. One of the very best of its kind!

The Raid 2 was awesome. This was one of the best action movies in the last decade. It starts off where the first Raid: Redemption ended and goes down a different storyline. This film was also a gangster film with a strong story and the action really kicks in the last 1/3 of the movie. The action choreography from the fight scenes to car chases were some of the best I have ever seen. The Blu ray disc PQ and AQ was also outstanding.

This is an incredible action and Martial Arts film from Indonesia. It is impossible to become board with a movie like this. I counted down the days until this released on blu ray. It took me two best buys to find copies of this blu ray in stock on it's opening Tuesday. But on the plus side, I can always count on best buy to carry obscure titles like this one when no other retailer will. Thanks Best Buy for making my entertainment possible!

The only thing better than the first movie? The sequel. The movie begins with a literal shot to the head and never lets up. Though it's about 45 minutes longer than the first one, it feels like it passes in about half the time, and that is in no way a dig at the amazing first movie. It's incredibly rare for a sequel to such an excellent film to be even better, but this is that rarest of instances.

Gareth Evans expands The Raid quite a bit in its sequel, which keeps things from feeling redundant. In losing that economy, and ballooning the runtime by almost an hour, The Raid 2 doesn't feel as visceral as the first, but the action scenes are just as vicious and heart-pounding. The organized crime narrative isn't particularly original, and has the film has contemporaries that inhabit the world far more convincingly (See 'New World'). But really, The Raid 2 is about the action, and it delivers that in spades.

I really enjoyed this movie. I was skeptical after seeing the first film "The Raid" that this one would rise to the action level of the first but it did not disappoint. This film picks up where the previous one left off, continuing this tell of police corruption and a fight to survive. The story centers around a lone good cop trying to expose corruption and protect his family. Excellent action and fight scenes and this film has chase scenes not found in the original film. Lots of fun for an action film fan.

The first Raid film had such quality in it's action parts, it had no equal for the action buff. While lacking a plot with depth, it delivered in pure, raw, violence. The second Raid film, adds depth to what was happening in the first, has a better plot, and, most unexpectedly, basically tops the first one! With a whole city at it's disposal now, the city has different locations, lighting styles, with added car chases, shoot outs, and action sequences. All while adding a plot that has more twists and turns to it.

Sequels don't generally hold up when compared to the original. There are exceptions, but let's face it: most sequels suck. The Raid 2 however is one of those rare exceptions. It's bigger in scope than the first, with more characters and more story and bigger, better, more brutal fight scenes. And the result is an even more awesome movie than the first. Seriously. The first movie was great. This one is better.

If you've seen The Raid Redemption you know it's arguably the most violent movie ever made. The difference is with this one instead of being purely an action packed 2 hour brawl they actually managed to squeeze in a storyline - an interesting one at that. Raid 2 has a plot with a feel similar to New World with the same brutal fight scenes of the original Raid. So if you liked the original you should love this one.

This movie is one of the most violent, action packed, adrenaline fueled rides I have ever watched... And I love it! Between the intricate, well choreographed fight scenes, to the beautifully shot car chases, this movie should be held up to a standard that other action-fight movies wish they could be compared to. Bigger and better than the first, The Raid 2 is a fun ride best enjoyed with a few friends.

Raid 2 picks right up from where the first one ended. This time they want to go after the bigger source which is police corruption and the criminal families. Which leads to our hero from the first one to go under cover to help bring them down. However many twist and turns happen. With the action it does lead you guessing over some areas to the end on why certain people are dealing with each other.

I'm not sure if the version I bought only has the dubbed version, because when I watched it, the English dubbed version was played. However, this did not cause me concern because the speaking parts are the least interesting thing about this movie. Essentially this is a violent masterpiece with fight scenes that approach insane levels of intricacy. If you liked the first one, this is even more over-the-top.

If you were a fan of the first film, this is definitely up to par with it. This movie is great. They tried to give this film more of a plot than the first, but the action scenes are just as great as they were in the first. This film is the edited version, but supposedly it was only trimmed about 3-4 minutes in comparison to the international cut of the film. Watch this film, you will not be disappointed.

The raid 2 is undoubtedly one of the best action and martial arts films ever made. There are tons of action scenes without being fatiguing. Almost all of the fighters in the movies are real trained martial artists and it shows. The fight choreography is top notch and absolutely brutal. Puts all 90% of American action movies to shame. Pick this up if you like brutal high octane action.

Best action movie out. Its a shame that people are gonna miss out on an fighting movie this epic because of subtitles. It s better than the first by adding character development that the first didn't have but was enjoyable for its over the top action. Not only are the characters better but the action has gone miles ahead to. You'll regret not seeing a movie this good.

I love martial arts movies. The first time I saw this movie, I wasn't sold on it. I think I was trying to compare it to The Raid: Redemption or something. I tripped up on a review of this movie recently that I thought was extremely high and so I decided to watch it again. After watching a 2nd time, I ran out and bought it for my collection! The action is ridiculous!

I think that this was a great film overall. However there were a times, certain elements of the story that could have been left out. For example a supporting character gets killed in the middle of the film but it leaves no redeeming quality. You don't feel bad for the character or good for the character which leads to my point it could just been left out of the film. I can't wait to see the third installment of this series

As the old cliche goes "if you liked the first one, you'll like this one". It's true. Everything here is top notch. The story takes the characters beyond the video game like setting of the first movie (going floor to floor taking everyone out). The action is choreographed so well, there may not ever have been anything like it. I thoroughly enjoyed Raid 2.

This is a great movie especially if you liked The Raid:Redemption. The fight scenes are unbelievable! Seriously, it is some of the most awesome choreography ever! Violence is taken to a new level with this one, so if you are squeemish about that kinda thing you might wanna rethink watching this movie. This movie made me say "Oh S**t!" several times!
