This is a new favorite of mine with great action sequences and a martial art that is not well known in the US. The movie had the dubbed english track as well as the orginal indonesian track. A suprise was an audio option that included the original soundtrack or a score made by Mike Shinoda.

This movie is crazy. Crazy. The cinematography, the fight scenes are all excellent. This movie doesn't hold back, you will see a lot. But when you get to the end, the testosterone will be pumping. Seriously get a group of friends together and watch it, because dare I say it was an experience, kinda like watching a Bruce lee or Jackie chan film for the first time.

When I saw The Raid in theatres last year, I felt like it had been hyped up too much. For $9.99, I wanted to give the blu-ray another chance and I'm glad I did. It really is a relentless action-thriller in the vein as classic John Woo. Hours of bonus features as well. No brainer purchase for fans of the genre.

This movie is amazing! It has some of the best fighting scenes I have ever seen and the story line is not weak. The movie does contain a lot of gore and subtitles, but there is so much action once they set up the movie that the subtitles don't take away from the movie.

beautiful pristine version of the film. amazingly violent and raw take on the wagon train trope, where a group aof soldiers are overwhelmed by the enemy. jaw dropping stubnts and naturalistic acting satisfies at every level. a must-see for action genre fans. malasia rocks it out.

Amazing!! The Raid is one of the best action movies I have ever seen! Insane fight scenes; constant action and suspense; perfect score. This movie gave me many new actors and a writer/ director to follow. It also interested me in Pencak Silat! Highly, highly recommended!!

A friend had recommended this to me a while back, but I never got around to watching it. Then, I saw a trailer for the second one that made me want to watch it, so I picked it up to get acquainted with the characters. It had a pretty good story, and the fight scenes were awesome

Easily one of the best action movies I've seen in the last 20 years. The first is somewhat of a slow burn while they set it up, but once this things cranks into gear, it doesn't let up for a second. I've never seen fight scenes this well done, before.

This movie is unlike anything ever created in action/kungfu movies, fight sequences that must be seen over and over again to believe, some funny moments and some drama, as well as a well placed but not overpowering script of characters and story telling.

If love action movies and want to see the newest generation look no further than the Raid and Raid 2. I strongly suggest you watch the original before this movie as it is also excellent, and the sequel picks up mere hours after the conclusion of the original.

The movie is excellent, tons of action, martial art fighting, gun shootings etc. 5 out of 5. Fight sequences are brilliant! The film’s pacing is outstanding, making the action scenes hit hardest and keeping things exciting even when the fists and bullets aren't flying.

One of the best action movies in recent years. The fight sequences are shot very well. No shakey cam, the camera stays on the action. This movie has a lot of replay value. Every fight will make your jaw drop. This is a must buy for action/martial arts film lovers.

Ultimately, this movie is only for the fighting. Even after watching the entire movie twice, I couldn't tell you the plot. Some of the best action since Ong Bak, another movie with little plot but awesome fighting.

The Raid: Redemption is a great action flick from Indonesia. It is almost non stop action about the police trapped in an apartment building trying to get a drug lord in the 15th floor. Solid action from floor to floor. This movie spawned a sequel.

If you love action and don't mind subtitles then this is the movie for you! Amazing action sequences leave you on the edge of your seat, waiting for the next incredible encounter. I'm not big on subtitle movies but this one was good enough to change my mind- highly recommended for action junkies, especially if martial arts features interest you.

This movie is mind blowing. If you love action this movie is perfect. Over the top action, bloody violence, great story. This movie takes the old formula and turns it up to twenty. This is a movie that definitely influence and change action movies moving forward.

A foreign film that has some awesome action scenes that also doesn't hold back on the gore. Slightly reminiscent of Dredd. A very solid well made film that does stand up on its own, but if you want more there is Raid 2, showing the events following the first.

I purchased The Raid Redemption DVD movie because I had the chance to view it on a flight oversea. It is a great action packed film that deals with crime lords, 20 elite cops, and 30 floors of action packed entertainment. It is AWESOME! I would highly recommend

The fight scenes were perhaps the best of any movie of this genre. However, with the amount of camera movement throughout, it was perhaps a little too intense at times. A lot of blood, if you are into that sort of thing. Was good enough for me to want to see The Raid 2. Definitely worth a watch for mindless fun on a Saturday afternoon.

A great price for a great movie , I had seen this movie before and purchased it when I saw it on the shelf at best buy . I thought this movie had some of the best fight scenes that I have seen in along time a must see.
