Brittney acted flawlessly in this movie. I love the fact that it is really authentic Japanese people who act in it, not actors playing Japanese people. The story is about survival and tryumph. It's really a feel good movie. The only sad part is that Brittney is no longer with us because she was a really good actress. This is one of my all time favorites from her, and possibly one of my top 20 movies of all time. Superbly done.

I stumbled across this movie on cable and really enjoyed it. Murphy does a lovely job of portraying a woman who, against odds and obstacles, turns a negative into a positive and finds herself in the process. A very sweet story, and sadly the last comedy film for the actress.

This is a story about a girl who gets left behind in life. But she pulls herself together and comes out the other side better than before. A great movie.

Lost and found again, but in Japan...How can you hit a target if you don't aim for one. Great story of finding self worth from an unusual situation.

I stumbled across this movie on Netflix. I actually disagree with one of the other comments left for this movie. It is really easy to understand even if you aren't familiar with Japanese culture. They give subtitles for the words spoken in Japanese so you don't have to worry about not understanding anything. The story throughout is amazing and it just blew me away with how closely it depicts my life working in a Japanese Restaurant. So true!

I enjoyed this film immensely, but you will too only if your are familiar with the culture. If you are watching it purely for Brittany Murphy, you will be disappointed, like the reviewer before me.

I like the lead actress in this movie, which is the only reason why I chose to give this film a try... it was a bad choice. I think Brittany did the best she could do with the role she took on, however the plot was weak, the pace was slow & the movie seemed like it would never end. The ending was underwhelming as well. I enjoyed watching her, but I'd skip this movie if given the choice again.
