The Return of the Musketeers finds D'Artagnan, Athos, Porthos, and Aramis 20 years after their famous adventures and gives us another spectacular romp of a swashbuckler. The Four are played by the same actors as in the earlier films, as is the servant Planchet, played by Roy Kinnear, who died of injuries sustained during filming. The film is dedicated to him. Kim Cattrall is the new femme fatale, the daughter of Milady de Winter. If you liked the first Musketeer films, you'll like this one too. It's based on a follow-up book by Alexandre Dumas, the creator of the Musketeers, and would leave room for another, but three of the actors have died and the others are probably a bit long in the tooth for the physical roles.
This review is from The Return of the Musketeers [DVD] [1989]

We like the 3 and the 4 Musketeers better, but this one has its moments. Good for a few laughs.
