Functional family, disfunctional world

The upper middle class is an easy target but this series creates a grifter family that tweaks the lifestyle. The "Riches" flee their family of grifters because of a promise to marry off their daughter to the village idiot (NO) and they steal the family's stash. They fall into Eden Falls and take on new identies. The writers take cliches and push them for all their worth. Color contribues to characters--vivid, sometimes lush, and high contrast
