  • Clapton, Lennon, Jagger, etc all in the R&R Circus

    This is an awesome one-off concert that was filmed in December 1968. The show was filmed on a makeshift circus stage with Jethro Tull, The Who, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull, and The Rolling Stones. John Lennon and his then-fiancee Yoko Ono also performed as part of a one-shot supergroup called The Dirty Mac, which featured Guitar God Eric Clapton, Mitch Mitchell (also part of The Jimi Hendrix Experience), and Keith Richards. This is also the last known public performance of Rolling Stone Brian Jones, who drowned 7 months later. This is in 4K, people, and it's BEAUTIFUL.

    The Beatles had their worldwide broadcast with the song "All You Need Is Love". Here's the Rolling Stones attempt at a TV Special with guests that is 'Good'; and probably best for die-hard RS fans. oh, I enjoyed it, but it does feel dated. Nothing wrong with the guests acts or anything. It just feels a bit stiff to me and so very very 1960s (I am age 60 myself). I'd rather listen to a Rolling Stones album than watch this again, but I did wish to own it on Blu-ray. I have it on CD as well. Stones Fan will buy this. Curious folk? Maybe check out some clips on YouTube.

    Great footage from the era and extras that are worth getting. I'm not sure if the Blu-ray is necessary though.
