Wow this movie was pretty good. I love watching old Westerns with my family. My dad loves them especially. He really enjoyed this one. This movie had a lot of big names. I just wished they utilized them more in their acting. But all in all I enjoyed the story.

The Salvation is a wonderful surprise full of stand out performances. Though the film is light on the dialogue, the performances from these amazing actors tells the story of the struggle they all go through in the harsh setting of the old west. The premise of the film is of heartbreak and vengeance. Mads is brilliant as he always is, Eva Green's performance is brilliant for not having to speak a single line, and Jeffery Dean Morgan is classic dark bad guy. Overall an amazing film with great vision of the classic old west, I highly recommend!

The Salvation is an entertaining and unique western movie. The actors are believable, and the directing is outstanding. I enjoyed this film very much, although it does have an improbable ending. Eva Green is sexy in her sultry, silent role, and Mads Mikkelsen"s role is reminiscent of Clint Eastwood's character in Unforgiven. I really liked The Salvation and would rank it in my top ten favorite westerns

this is a revisionist western from the Sergio Leone school more than the John Ford western. Because of the callous acts of a couple of strangers during a stage coach ride, our reluctant hero sets out to avenge the death of his wife and son. Unknowningly unleashing a tide of violence. With little more the hope, grit and a henry rifle our hero overcomes incredible odds to obtain his revenge.

Good but not great, standard revenge flick. Looks good on blu.

Mads Mikkelsen stars in this Western as a husband and father whose family is killed after arriving in the U.S. As a result of his taking revenge on his family's killers, he is targeted by the brother of one of those men. A standard story is punched up by a game cast including Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Eva Green and Jonathan Pryce.

Not too often that you see a foreign company help pay for a film, but the Danish film office helped with this one and I was worried that it might be too "Danish" and not enough "Western". I liked it and it was certainly western enough, but very brutal (as so many westerns are these days - but so was the west so that's fair).

This is the ultimate revenge movie in a classic Western format. The descent guy, here an immigrant, has to give up on decency to root out outlaws in a lawless 19th century Western town. There's great acting, both by good guys and bad, and surprisingly subtle and convincing acting in a movie where good and bad are so clearly delineated. It's my favorite Western.

great little western revenge thriller. Madds is really good in it but it was Jeffrey Dean Morgan who stole the show imo as the villain, truly despicable dude. I strongly recommend to you if you love those two dudes

Mads Mikkelsen is great in this. The movie is pretty graphic at times and heartbreaking at others. If you are a fan of spaghetti westerns you should definitely check this out.

I didn't have a chance to see this in theaters, and picked up super cheap when it first came out. It's got a slow build to it, but it is a great action filled western movie and Mads Mikkelsen (spelling is way off) shines

Had never heard of this movie, but took a chance. Was not disappointed in the slightest. If you like movies where the protagonist comes out on top, after losing almost everything, then this movie is for you.

Action from begging to end .Really good movie for the older group. Not recommend for younger people.

Decent movie. Was fun to watch Hannibal got toe to toe with Neegan. Less subtitles maybe?

Western action to the max. Not many western are made any more, luckily this is a good one.

This film is a neat Euro-Interpretation of the American West theme...

It has Mads so if must be good. I don't like westerns but this was good.

Interesting and violent western set in the American Old West but shot in South Africa with a largely European cast.

The Danish brothers that did this western did a fantastic job really. Best Western in years! Mads and Eva were awesome.
