I had wanted to see this in the theatre, as a huge fan of Jaws, sadly most Shark movies disappoint...this one does not!! The effects are solid, and the premise believable..for the most part. The quality of the blu ray included is very good but the 4K is outstanding. Take a chance and get this 4K set, and have some fun in a movie fr a change!

When I first saw the trailer for this movie I was like oh man I need to go see this. I went and saw this movie and it made me jump in my seats a few times which anymore scary movies don't really succeed at doing. This movie is a great thriller to watch. I recommend this movie to anyone who likes thrillers and "Jaws" because this movie is awesome!

The Shallows is the perfect summer movie. Director Jaume Collet-Serra took a B-movie story, and worked in a brilliant script, top-notch acting, incredible cinematography and phenomenal visuals to create a stunning portrait of survival. A must-see, and must-own for movie collectors.

We were told this movie was scarier than Jaws. No one in our household agreed with that. However, it was a very interesting movie, full of suspense, and held our attention throughout. I wouldn't recommend for small children but would recommend for anyone who likes shark movies.

The director does a great job of building tension and suspense throughout the movie! I definitely recommend this for home theaters because the sound and visuals are superb. This movie is a modern day "Jaws" with many cringe worthy moments and paranoia inducing situations.

Wow, what an awesome movie. Saw this movie in the theater and in 4k. Enjoyed it both time. If you like sharks, beach, and the beautiful Blake Lively this is a must see. Acting was excellent and believable. This shows you you may never know what's lurking in that water you swim. Movie is worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

The movie itself was just OK for me. Some solid action and intense scenes and Blake Lively is great in it, but nothing overly special about the movie. However, the 4K quality is almost worth the purchase alone! Looks great in 4K with HDR! One of the best on the format!

I thoroughly enjoyed this film not only for its beautiful cinematic shots, but for original, clever story. Picture is not an issue, the colors look amazing and video quality is excellent. This is definitely my new favorite shark film. It is everything a shark film should be. You won't be disappointed.

This Movie was GREAT! The location where it was shot was beautiful - absolutely stunning and breathtaking. And the movie was very scary and realistic. I don't want to give any spoilers so let me just say you can buy with confidence as it will not disappoint both theatrically and technically, this blu ray will surely be a hit.

I was literally on the edge of my seat. Great movie and it was also fun for my 14 year old who watched it from the beginning to the end. The after movie discussion we had lasted for over an hour. Love hearing the opinions of what young people think.

As a fan of the original Jaws, every other movie just doesn't live up to the expectations of a good movie. I am not a fan of heavy CG in movies, however this movie was pretty decent overall. Intense especially more so towards the second half. Good pick overall

I was not in any excitement to see this film, but it pleasantly surprised me. There's not too much dialogue in this movie as it deals with a single woman stranded while a shark circles her. Very intense and is the best shark movie since Jaws, in my opinion.

Who doesn't love a good shark movie every now and then? This one is actually a cut above any other that's come along in recent years. It just gets a little silly towards the end but nevertheless, this is a fun movie. And the 4K looks incredible.

I was apprehensive to watch this movie because I was so sick of the bad JAWS rip-offs. But this movie pleasantly surprised me. It has great pacing, lots of anxiety, and it will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Recommended.

I was hesitant at first to see this one in the theater as it could have been terrible, but it was a lot better than I expected. It had the right amount of suspense and intensity and was a great film. Not quite Jaws like some have said, but a solid flick.

Let's face it no shark movie will ever compare to the original Jaws but I will say this had plenty of suspense and terror at times. This movies wasn't drawn out or CGI to death. I really enjoyed this much more than I thought I would have.

There will never be another "JAWS" but this is very suspenseful and keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout. If you're a fan of "Jaws", you will most likely like this movie as well. Blake Lively does a great job carrying this movie by herself.

I heard great things from friends about this movie but just never made it to the theater to see it, once it went on-sale, this purchase is a no-brainer. Suspenseful to say the least and Blake is pretty easy on the eyes! Really great movie and will get more views (and some loan outs. LOL)

I watched this in the theater and was captivated through most of it. As could be expected, it was slow at times, given the few characters and lack of dialogue. but for suspense entertainment, it was enjoyable. I bought a copy for family to see it.

We kinda expected a story plot like Jaws but to our surprise it wasn't at all like it. Kinda puts you in a mind sight where "what would you do" kinda situation... I thought the graphics were pretty decent up until the end of the movie... it really did look fake... but overall it was a good shark thriller!
