While I haven't watched the actual Blu-ray sets yet, I can say that this is an entertaining fantasy story, set in the gorgeous locale of New Zealand. It definitely is meant for a teenage-early 20s audience, but despite some "young-ish" language, the story is good, and the acting is decent. If you enjoy fantasy, you'll likely enjoy this.

I have been a fan of Terry Brooks since I read The Elfstones of Shannara back in 1982. For me, it was to return to a Tolkien like world. The series mix some of the stories with a modern look.

This is a really good movie series. I have read all of Terry Brook's books on Shannara. I only wish MTV would finish out series.

Was a joy to watch this series. Very entertaining series.

Bought this because it had a great price for two seasons of a show. It was a very good show, after watching both seasons in a weekend went online to see when it would be continued and saw that it had been cancelled. Which is a shame since it was very good. It is still worth watching if you are a fan of science fiction and fantasy.

I read these books a while back. Could not put them down. I was very upset when I was done reading them. When the show came to TV, I loved watching them. I could not wait for them to come to DVD. I had to get them. One of my favorite series. Love them.

Heard about this series not too long ago.Wanted to purchase it and found it on Best Buy! Excellent fantasy movie, special effects and costumes.I'm enjoying it very much. Nice clear video.

The Shanarra Chronicles was a televised adaptation of the fantasy Shanarra novels. Originally aired on MTV in the United States it later moved to Spike TV for the second season. Considering the budget, and dislocated nature of the airings, it turned into an above average fantasy series which unfortunately only lasted the two seasons.

Great teen level TV series which was originally a successful book series by Terry Brooks. If you need a guilty pleasure this is the one.

Love this series. I'm a little sad that it ended and they didn't continue the story but for those who love fantasy and lord of the rings I suggest you watch this series.

I read the books long ago. The series isn't the same as the books exactly, but the essence is there. Lots of fun.

Loved these books, so was excited for the series on TV. While not 100% faithful to the books, the action and drama of the series makes up for the changes from page to screen.

I am very happy with this show... The world the writes has imagine is very complex. I can't wait for season 3... I may even go buy the books.

What a great show just was cut short after two seasons worth taking up lotta action in very good story .
