I purchased this game because i loved playing the Sims forever. I purchased this and was quite dissappointed. The original sims are much better. i would reccommend going with the sims complete collection. there alot more fun to play. And they still have good graphics. I tried playing the sims 2 for a little while and i was quite dissappinted in it. nothing like the older ones. I hate the goals part of it. It's way too confusing. I would strongly reccommend the complete collection.

This is a great start for someone just getting started. I have been playing the game since it came out. I have bought every expansion. It is great fun and there is a huge community that is involved with custom content to add and contests to enter.This gets you started and saves you money when doing it. Perfect starter pack into the world of Sims 2.

I love the Sims and obsessively bought each expansion pack to the original version when they came out. So naturally I was heartbroken when I lost my copy of the Sims 2. I ordered it online and picked it up and have not stopped playing since (almost literally)! A great game and the extra expansion pack (Downtown) is definitely worth your money!

the sims 2 is an okay game.... it is fun to take care of a little person and choose what they look like and all that but the game gets really boring and is hard and confusing... you have to devote a lot of time to figure it out... if you are going to get it then you should try to get the expansions also because you can't do a lot of real life things with just the deluxe version

great game but it can get boring i would still buy it

I just bought the new Dell studio and was looking forward to playing the Sims Deluxe game, however, when I got home and installed it I got as far as creating a family and my computer froze. I continued to try and play the game unsuccessfully. So, if you've recently bought a new computer, beware, you may not be able to get your money back for the game.
