Classic anime

Slayers 101

I prefer watching it with subtitles, just because I find some of the English language voice actors not as good as their Japanese counterparts, which is really a shame since some of the worst English voice acting takes place early on and with main characters. That said, this is seasons 1, 2 and 3 packed neatly together, which allows several story arcs to be told, gives the young or young-at-heart a fun, comedic introduction to fantasy and to anime. It has, in this reviewer's opinion, stood the test of time nicely so far and I see no reason it won't continue to. DVD extras were a little sparse for 12 DVDs, but that can be attributed to the fact that these were originally released on VHS cassettes and thus forgiven.
