Scream/Shout Factory delivers a great looking steelbook edition of this classic 80s slasher! A New 4K scan of the original camera negative brings a great look to the film. Special features included are a “making of” documentary, an audio commentary from the director and 2 of the actors, an interview with actor Rigg Kennedy, and the original theatrical trailer. A great addition to any horror collectors 80s slasher library!!

This is definitely a true '80s slasher film! Since "Slumber Party Massacre" was released in 1982, you can say this may have been one of the films to create the '80s cheesy/slasher films...which is great! It is your basic '80 horror film; slumber party, drinking, comedic moments...and of course, the escaped maniac who is on his way to the party! Keep an eye out for Brinke Stevens as Linda, as this was one of her first roles. This is definitely a popcorn flick; so just sit back, & enjoy yourself. Also, the late Robin Stille was one of the leads in this film. She appeared in a few other '80s horror films, & is truly missed!

Decent older styled Slasher film with some pretty good parts in it. If you’re into older horror movies that came about in the 80’s, you’d probably enjoy this film. I thought it had a pretty good storyline and it did have some gore scenes in it. Not a “bad” movie in my opinion. I’ve definitely seen worse!!

Slumber Party Massacre in a much needed transfer compared to the previous release. A great upgrade if you want to swap your old bluray release featuring a great steelbook artwork, bonus goodies and a new scan from the original print negative!

This is a really nice upgrade from the older Scream Factory blu-ray. The picture is so much nicer and in its proper aspect ratio. The SteelBook is nice too, although I would have rather had the film's original theatrical poster as the cover art, but Scream Factory loves paying artists to come up with newer cover art. Still, this is a must buy for fans.

The sequel is definitely better in every single way, but this is a solid slasher film with a sense of humor and a really scary villain. Shout Factory did a great job with the blu-ray release. Highly recommend this for a good Friday horror movie night!

That holds up very well. The new 4K restoration looks fantastic and this is a great looking steelbook. My ISPU was ready in about 15 mins. and there was no hassle when going into the store to grab it. Can't beat this one for $17.99.

Typical T &A in this mostly forgotten 80s slasher. Still loads of fun and gore to be had. The steelbook looks great, however, SF could maybe include additional artwork on the inside would be great

This is a nice upgrade to the previous release. The steelbook is very nice and the picture and audio are great. The movie itself is a great 80's slasher and is a must watch during the Halloween season.

Enjoyed the quality of the movie. Unfortunately when my package arrived I could hear the dvd rattling around. Thank goodness the disc was not damaged. Especially waiting for a while to have this film in my collection

This is a classic under-the-radar horror from the 80's. Cheesy, mysogynistic type film (and that's what sold back then), but good fun nonetheless.

If you are a horror film collector and a steel case Blu-Ray disk collector it is a must own..! A timeless and flawless horror slasher movie classic..!

Although I already own the previous blu ray, I bought this as well and was very pleased with the quality of the new transfer. Long live Scream Factory!
