This is a sweet family friendly movie. It does have a couple of kissing scenes, but I felt they were tastefully presented. Great movie! It is long. We watched it over a week or more before we finished it.

An Awesome Family Movie that is timeless and one that everyone should have in their collection!

Wasn't really into musicals but I watched this with my girlfriend and I realized how much influence this movie had on pop culture, among other things. A wonderful family film. Julie Andrews is great!

I love this movie!! Bought it to have Blu-ray and digital versions. Also, to get 50th anniversary extras. Julie Andrews goes back to Salzburg, Austria, shares her memories of making the movie.

Even if you are watching for the first time or the nth time, it brings all the fantasy, music and memories that link family generations. The kind of movie hollywood doesnt make anymorem

I mean c'mon, it's the Sound of Music after all. And i'm a guy and enjoyed the blast back to childhood in HD. Very glad that it has come to Blu-Ray so it may continue to spark the joy of music in my children.

I was living under a rock before I saw this movie. It’s become one of my favorite movies to watch. The color seem brighter with this edition too. Julie Andrews is simply the best.

I already owned the 40th anniversary edition, but HAD to get this one when I saw all the bonus material. And who doesn't love an Ultra Violet copy to go along? I feel like I climbed every mountain...and won!

This is a must see classic Musical. I bought it for my mom. I bought her the Blue Ray to replace her old VHS copy.

Great classic movie w/some fun additional bonus features. The classics never go out of style particularly when a digital download is included. :)

I grew up watching this movie and as a grand parent I want to share the beautiful music and telling of this classic story for generations to come!

The transfer quality of this Blu-ray is first-rate, as the image and audio looks and sounds great, especially for a movie as old as this one. Of course the movie itself is a classic in every sense of the word.

Good classic movie. Much cheaper than getting the combo version with dvd. Using the "favorite things" feature is cumbersome.

I felt like I was in Austria. I watched this on my 65" Samsung curved 4K as it played on my Blu-Ray player. Better than at the movies. Highly recommend this 50th anniversary edition.

The DVD was as expected a very good quality version of the movie. It's nice to have the DVD feature that brings you directly to songs in the movie. It's fun for children who want to learn the songs.

We bought the blu ray version of this and gave it to my mom for her birthday. Didn't dawn on us that it would not play in a regular DVD player, so I came back and bought this version for her. She loves it!

We have enjoyed this classic movie over the years watching many times in theaters and on TV with our children and grandchildren. Now we can watch it in our home, and in HD, anytime we wish.

It's the 50th anniversary edition of one of the best films of the 20th century. What more is there to say? Fabulous in bluray. If you love The Sound of Music, you will enjoy this edition.
