they did a very good job at making this! it definitely feels true to the original and the vocals are incredible. I would recommend to fans of the original and even people who just like musicals.

Great job of redoing a wonderful, favorite classic

I didn't have much expectations when I watched this as I have seen the original hundreds of times since I was kid. I love Carrie Underwood as a singer but as an actress, she needs more training.

WE ALWAYS ENJOYED THE OLDER VERSION OF THE SOUND OF MUSIC AND THIS EDITION IS NEW AND SOMEWHAT REFRESHING YOU COULD TELL THE LEAD ACTRESS AND ACTOR ACTUALLY WANTED TO DO THE ROLES.

Great re make of this classic movie. My children truely enjoyed Carrie playing the lead role. They watched it during a long roadtrip and never missed a word of it

My wife and I were disappointed in this film but I know we did not expect it to be as good as the original film. I could be that we just are not into "live" state action. Film was OK but not what we were hoping for.

This remake was a good attempt but not up the the original soundtrack of the first movie. Enjoyed seeing this update, but as stated before, kept thinking of the original and making that comparison.

The Sound Of Music is a classic. I love singing. This movie keeps you in a jovial mood. It brings back happy memories from the past.

I DVR'd the televised version, but this is nicer--no commercials. The order arrived before it was expected. The DVD works great.
