I have watched this miniseries several times, always on DVD, and the quality on Blu-Ray is a huge improvement. The video is extremely clear and shows no signs of unnecessary digital noise reduction. The audio is also excellent, with dialogue clear at all times. The series has held up well over time, and the story is just as relevant today as it was when the book first appeared. Highly recommended.

This is a must have for any Stephen King fan. I have this on VHS, but don't watch them anymore. It's not a movie to just view like any other, because it's 6 hours, and you will need to take a break. But, to tell the story in detail, I feel it needs to be that long. At no time did I feel that I wished it would just get to the end.

I finally got around to picking this up to upgrade my DVD copy, and what an upgrade it is! The fact that the entire miniseries is relegated to a single disc worried me somewhat, given the compression that would be needed to keep a decent bit rate. What has been done here is nothing short of miraculous, and is a pleasure to watch. Don't waste your time with the hot garbage that is the 2020 remake... THIS is the definitive version...

If you’ve read the biblical-length King novel, you can rest-assured that this is a faithful adaptation; do keep in mind that it was filmed in the early 90’s, however, and for a major network (CBS - the mind reels at what present-day HBO could do with this material though!). What shines with the blu-ray is the transfer; it looks spectacular, all things considered.

Every Saturday I would toon in to the syfy channel to see all the horror marathons every Saturday and this mini series was always one that would be showing. I never got to complete it since it’s so long. So glad it was available on bluray purchase. The soundtrack is the best and the cast did phenomenal. Very creepy element to it and would highly recommend to binge watch. Also would recommend reading the novel first.

Stephen King's The Stand finally got a well deserved HD Blu-ray remaster. Looks Awesome on Blu-ray...you can tell the difference between the DVD vs the Blu-ray! This is a Stephen King fan must buy!

Great adaptation to kings epic, shot in the 90s it still holds up. The blu ray makes the picture quality even better. Worth picking up if you still like physical copies of media.

Watching this movie in 2020 really makes a difference. Then compare it to what is currently happening in the world. Scary stuff.

Watched original on broadcast TV, loved it, and recorded it on my VCR. Was very happy when I saw this remastered Blu-ray version and had to have it! Not disappointed.

Love this movie! With the new one coming out later this year I really wanted to have this one in my collection. Arrived in great (new) condition exactly as expected.

Nice job even though it’s a TV movie. Nothing beats the book but if you don’t have time to read a 1300 page book, this movie does a great job depicting King’s story

It Stands on its own all these years later. Better then most end of days type movie. A solid 5 hour miniseries that puts most current Hollywood flicks to shame.

Stephen King's The Stand is a great watch, despite its 25+ year age. Written by King himself, it is his definitive adaption of his masterpiece novel. The only downside is the 4:3 aspect ratio (related to TV's preferred format at the time) and the 2.0 channel audio. Still must watch TV!

Very interesting story with some scary similarities to our current Pandemic. The acting is okay, but has a good cast. The resolution to the problem in the story happens waayy too quickly, but that is expected since it follows the book pretty closely. Overall I would recommend.

This is a significant upgrade from the dvd, just as you would expect. I recommend picking this one up if you're a fan of the series.

Great movie if you also loved the book; ensure your DVD player is compatible.

Great book made into a great movie, very well done. Classic good vs evil plot, many interesting characters.

One great Stephen King Novel that was put into production for the screen and satisfies your need for terror.
