A great movies to watch, watching the original first movie and then watching the remake which is a bit longer. Both are great movies.

Now first to discuss is the Reboot that was definitely approved by the Gothic Horror Novelist Himself “Stephen King” approved especially because His 2 Sons were involved in the Project and Casting “Alexander Skarsgard” as Randall Flagg was brilliant yet hypnotic having a Veteran Actress playing the role of Mother Abigail with “Whoopi Goldberg” genius! Now the original by Stephen King Himself and finally for the very first-time released on Blu-Ray or HD other than being on SD or DVD ever since it came out Ruby Dee was Mother Abigail and Jamey Sheridan was Randall Flagg on both sides of the coins the Castmates and Crews of The Reboot and Original were all phenomenal in Their own unique way of portraying the Characters from Stephen King’s Book “The Stand” of course before You watch either of These read the Book I do know it’s very long but it’s so worth it!!

I never saw the original The Stand miniseries when it aired on TV in 1994 never much of a horror person. I finished watching the 1994 adaptation and was very surprised that it held up well in 2021! The teleplay was written well so well that each 90-minute episode kept you engaged!! I have watched a few Christian movies about the end times and their movies are written so poorly. Lack of plot and poor characters development. Stephen King has taken some elements from the Book of Revelation woven well into The Stand. I have started watching the 2020 adaptation and the first episode was great! If wasn't too tired I would finish watching the second episode. Great adaptations of the book!!!!

First of all, I'm an avid of Stephen King. THE STAND is on e of his masterpieces. I have seen the original film adaptation five times. I sold my DVD copy to purchase the 2-series collection, as I had nit seen the second version. I feel the second version is stunning, but it is still no match for the original. It's nit to say I didn't enjoy the second version, but the first is still my favorite. That's not to say I'm happy to own both films. Maybe I'll grow fonder of the second film in future viewings

This was a genius move to pair both of these versions. The first one is still my favorite, but the new one is almost as good. Both are fairly loyal to the novel and both have their strengths and weaknesses. Glad to have them both in Blu-ray.

1994 Stand is a classic and the 2020/21 version is ok. The newer version didn’t make as much of an impact on me personally, but it was nice to see more scenes from the book show up that the 1994 version had missed.

Just finished the new one and rewatched the first one to compare, the second one was really done well, better than the first in my opinion, but being a big Steven King fan, I enjoyed both. Wish more of the King books would get done like this.

This set is a nice mix of the original late-90s ABC made for TV series and the newer remake. It's a lot of material, so make sure to either plan to break up the watching or pop a LOT of popcorn for binging.

Steven King is a genius. The stand is a classic all around. Definitely worth it.

I saw the first mini series and it was great and the new mini series is even better.

If you like the Stand you will enjoy both mini series combined.

If you are a fan of the book you must get disappointed with both versions, but as a story is not bad.
