Great horror movie, classic! My wife and i enjoyed it!

An older lower budget movie but that’s what makes it awesome. It’s gritty and dark, Leather face is a monster of a man and shows as he butchers and cuts down these teens with his chainsaw and mallet

This steelbook art is awesome. The print on the backside is awesome. It is the same disc as some of the other releases so if you are thinking it is anything new it's not. Good for collectors.

I own every edition of this film going back to the special edition VHS versions (yes, I am a fan). I also am a huge Videophile and up to this point had been very disappointed at the lack of Blu-ray support going back to the 4 disc Gold Steelbook edition on regular DVD as the Best edition available through Best Buy in the past. Well this 4 disc Anniversary Edition not only brings the film to Blu-ray but as a bonus has a 4K compatible transfer mastered from the original print which I viewed on my Sony 4K 60 inch and Sony 4K Dvd player I purchased at Best Buy about 6 months ago and while phenomenal, there is still very little 4K blu-ray films being remastered at this point. To see a film almost 40 years old be remastered for 4K just makes this box set a MUST OWN for any fan of the film. Even if you do not own a 4K capable television or monitor yet-you will soon as the prices are decreasing immensely by the month, so just buy this version so you will be prepared to view it in the future...The picture quality and Daniel Pearl's historic cinematography is stunning in 4K from the original theatrical 35MM print..I would not even be able to fit the multitude of bonus features on the 4 Discs, but trust me there are many new features Exclusive to only this box set that are not on the older dvd 4 disc one...Some are repeated, but there are FAR more than enough to make this purchase worthwhile for the extra Commentary tracks from Tobe Hooper and Pearl-ALONE. Buy this NOW...You won't regret it...and will be glad you have a 4K copy waiting for you as who knows if they remaster this again in the future or not?

One of the greatest horror films of all time in a beautiful steel book, no special features though.

When The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was released in theaters I was 6 years old. Horror movies frightned me as a child, yet my father insisted that I watch this movie in a theater with him. I covered my eyes through out the entire movie. It wasn't until I was teenager during the 80's that I watched horror movies in theaters. When The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was first released on VHS I watched it for the first time and immediately noticed how influencial the movie is. Although it was not as gory as some of the other horror movies that I watched during my teens, watching The Texas Chainsaw Massacre made me feel as though I was experiencing another individual's nightmare. It is regrettable that my eyes were closed while the movie was playing all of those years ago. I would have had the privelage of watching a milestone in American cinematic horror. Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th may be classics, but Tobe Hooper probably introduced the masked murdering madman to American audiences first. The extras are extensive and the restoration has made The Texas Chainsaw Massacre look better than ever.

I really enjoy old classic horror movies. This one tops them all. Movies aren’t what they used to be. Must buy.

Truly horrific, a must see. If you consider yourself a horror fan and have not seen this movie you are behind.

Nice and rustic looking steely with a blu ray copy of TCM. Not the 4K if that’s what you’re looking for.
