The love story of Jane and Stephen Hawking. Steven Hawking was scientist who discovered many things through his life while dealing with a crippling disease. Ed Redmane was outstanding portraying Stephen and is nominated for a oscar for his betrayal. A must see oscar film!

My wife and I are not huge fans of Eddie Redmayne, but his performance here turned our opinions around. The movie is a little slow, but Eddie's performance as Stephen Hawking is mesmerizing! The movie is very similar to "A Beautiful Mind" but with the deterioration being physical rather than mental. Definitely worth a watch!

Eddie Redmayne delivers an absolutely stellar performance in The Theory of Everything. The film itself is quite good, 7.9/10 However, the blu-ray release lacks something. The audio and video quality are both amazing, however there is a disappointingly small amount of extras and special features. With the price at only $10, this blu-ray is a bargain, and a must have for any collector.

Eddie RedMayne is fantastic as Stephen Hawking. I knew very little about his life before the film but was compelled to learn more afterward. Everything about the film was organic, authentic, and sincere. The performances portrayed the heartbreak, struggle, and eventual triumph of one of the smartest men of our age.

This movie was truly great, not just the story of Hawkins, but a nice education in the sciences he was most involved in. The visual quality of the BlueRay was superb, and the digital redemption code that was included, put a copy of it right into my iTunes library. Recommended.

Amazing story and amazing acting. I've always admired Hawking but it's great to get to see a bit of insight into the man and the family. Eddie's portrayal of him is just ridiculous. He's able to be an amazing actor while showing the pain and effects of the disease.

I can see why everyone would think this film would make the academy awards top list for 2014 to win! This story is well-written, it's real and it definitely gets a person to dig deep in his own heart to see what he's really made of and to bravely press on despite adversity and challenge!

This movies is one that you really have to see. How a love so deep can overcome such a tough obstacle in life. in this movie you're told you don't have much time to live and true love is challenged.The acting was fantastic and the movie itself is well worth the Oscar recieved.

This movie succeeds in every way a bio pic can succeed. The performances are great. There are moments with incredible emotional impact. The story is fascinating because the man himself is fascinating. Great movie.

A wonderfully enjoyable movie and great addition for any movie collection. What makes this movie rare is that it is biographical and produced while the main character is still alive and can still offer opinions and personal reflection. Truly a work of great acting talent.

Birdman & Theory of Everything were 2 great films that were nominated for best picture at the Oscars. Birdman did end up winning in the end i love that obscure movie got a chance this year. saw both in theaters loved them so much i had to buy them for my DVD collection

Eddie Redmayne is so believable that you forget that he's acting. The story line reveals the personal struggles Stephen Hawking, a public figure. This is a love story, a coming of age story, an underdog story, a tragedy. This movie helps you see the courage Hawking had in the face of his disability.

The life of Stephen Hawking is extraordinary. Most of us know him as the brilliant professor in the wheelchair but know little about his early life, the progression of his disease, or his romantic life. This movie does a great job of filling in these gaps.

The 2 main characters excel at their individual portrayals so much so that the actors disappear and the real people they play come to life. Eddie Redmayne could not have been better. This is also an amazing true story of overcoming obstacles too!

There is a solid reason Eddie Redmayne won Best Actor at the Oscars. His portrayal of Stephen Hawking, especially the way he physically captured how Lou Gehrig's disease destroys the physical body - was breathtaking. I recommend this movie to everyone!

When I first seen the preview I did not think I would like this movie. I bought the movie and watched it and thought it was very well done. I usually like movies based on true stories, events, people and this one did not disappoint.

Mr Hawking's journey was truly inspirational. The cast was perfect for this film as it showcased how Mr. Hawking dealt with his diagnosis at a young age, proving his scientific theories, and keeping his love strong. Great story and great movie.

The story of Professor Stephen Hawking ; is a story of triumph in the face of insurmountable odds. It is a superb premise for a movie and thankfully this cast and crew have done his life story justice. It is quite simply an outstanding movie.

The acting was superb in this film about Stephen Hawking's life. I have seen several documentaries and Eddie Redmayne does an outstanding job portraying Hawking. Sensitively done with doses of humor reflective of Hawking's personality.

Redmaine was great in portraying a crippled scientist who overcame his disability to achieve scientific greatness. Felicity Jones was a very supportive in portraying his congenial wife. i positively recommend this movie.
