While the disk itself was absolutely fine the movie was not to my liking. It should have been called my marriage with Steven. More of a romantic story about his wife than him.

"The Theory of Everything"is a beautiful story of love, brilliance, resilience, loss and forgiveness. Whether or not the Stephen Hawking character finds out about his disease in a fall in a hall or, as reported, elsewhere is of little consequence. The important thing is terrific acting that shows us what the real Stephen Hawking must have felt. It is through brilliant character development that viewers can vicariously experience how tragedy can be conquered by powerful thinking and brave determination. I hope the actors, particularly, Eddie Redmayne are recognized for this tour de force. Aside from my raves for the acting and, I should mention as well, the fine writing of the book and script, it was tremendously refreshing to see a film that is not about killing, hate, gratuitous violence and men in silly costumes that belie reality or girls trying to catch a man or vice versa. I'm happy to go to the theatre to see science made understandable and even sexy instead of being dumbed down by a date film or, as I said, a glorification of violence.

What sets this film apart from other Hawking vehicles is that it really focuses on the love story between Stephen and Jane. If you're interested in how Hawking came up with his theories or the story of his career, this is not for you. It's an honest portrayal of a marriage between the most brilliant mind of our times and his wife, who is brilliant herself.

not for those that tend towards watching everyday dreck, and it might be too smart for some people to understand, but awesome biopic!

I love everything Steven Hawkings. I have always wondered what his life was like and the types of things he was involved in before his debilitating disease took hold. It is a very interesting story and well worth the price of admission.

Great bio-pic about the one and only Stephen Hawking! There were a few flaws that true SH fans will notice but other than that, it was a great film!
