I am so glad I waited to buy this film instead of watching it at the movie. It allows me to watch it again .... and again .... and it's one of those movies that each time you watch it again you understand something you missed before.

I enjoyed this film very much. The science and inspiration that was evoked from me by the science made this a favorite of mine. There was not as much science as I would like and contained a lot of drama, but I knew that it would be so.

This film is an emotional roller coaster and inspiring. The blu-ray itself is good. The picture is one of the best that I've seen and the sound is surprisingly vibrant for such a quiet film. The performances are also wonderful.

Wanting to be caught up on the Oscar race, I had to purchase this film on its release week. The price of $23 was steep and in my opinion, not entirely worth it. However, I enjoyed to film and found it to be a worthy candidate for Best Picture this year. Overall a good film and the release does it justice.

I bought this film purely because I was curious about the acting in it. Its wonderful, the characters are well developed and the acting is fabulous. I found it on sale for a good price, if you can too you won't be disappointed.

Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones beautifully portray loving partners in the true life journey of Hawking physical degredation and mental genius growth . The true love and dedication by Jones character .

Now days if you aren't offering me the BD-DVD-DC combo pack, you aren't getting my business. Not only was this movie very well acted and compelling, I now own it on all three mediums so I can watch it anywhere. #highlyrecommended

with Eddie winning over Keaton, it must show an impressive display of acting which I must say despite being a massive Keaton fan can understand why the academy went with Eddie

It has surpassed my expectations! Especially knowing its a true story makes this film 10x better! And the actor who plays Stephen Hawkings is exceptional to say the least!!!

This beautifully filmed life affirming story about Stephen Hawking and his dedicated, loving, and completely human wife will keep you interested. Well worth seeing.

Eddie Redmayne delivers a tour de force as Stephen Hawking, skillfully and amazingly mimicking the various stages of his disease. It will be a crime if he doesn't receive the Oscar for Best Actor. Very powerful movie.

I was interested in seeing this movie but hesitant on how it would actually pan out. Turns out I had nothing to fear because this is a solid movie, there are some parts where the pacing slows down, but this is a very interesting take on a very important figure in science.

Eddie Redmayne definitely deserved an Oscar for his brilliant performance as Stephen Hawking. Complemented by wonderful supporting roles, Eddie shines in this thought-provoking film. Certainly worth a viewing!

The movie was generally good as a loose documentation of his life but the strong point throughout was the degradation of his body while his mind kept cranking away. The actor did an amazing job representing Hawking.

This was a film nominated for Best Picture in the Academy Awards. I really enjoyed this movie but the real spectacle here is the performance by Eddie Redmayne. I knew when I walked out of the theater that Eddie would win the Oscar for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role.

Eddie Redmayne is PHENOMENAL in this movie! This is more about the personal life of Stephen Hawking, not his theories. I just had to buy it as soon as it came out

Saw this movie in the theater and purchased this DVD as soon as it was released. One of the BEST movies I have seen all year. A definite keeper for my collection.

The movie was great also like the plot furthermore the storyline had a deep filling. Steve Hawkins was a brilliant person and still is the theory of everything fits him wonderfully although there could have been a more or less love story in his upcoming during his ordeals.

Incredible movie. I was expecting more of an informational/not-terribly-interesting movie, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The acting in this movie is unparalleled. Time flew by watching this movie.

From two people deeply in love, to great thinking mind, to a physical impairment, love is the keys that keeps them together. Beatufuil direction and a great cast makes this movie, an epic story.
