Love all the Thin Man movies. Thanks to Best Buy, I was able to complete my collection. If you like mystery with some comedy, this movie and the rest of the Thin Man movies are for you. Hopefully they will put them on bluray.

The common opinion is that the Thin Man movies lessen in quality as they go on. I don't hold on to that. The Thin Man Goes Home finds the famous detective and his wife comedically trekking to hia hometown, for a visit with his parents. As always, trouble always has a way of finding Nick and Nora, and they have to solve a murder. This one was really funny and the previous film (Shadow of the Thin Man) and this one really gave Myrna Loy a lot to do, physical comedy-wise. Also, it was a great decision to leave out the Nicky Jr character, which I felt bogged down Nora.
With Warner Archive, you get great picture and audio quality that really freshen the viewing experience. No complaints on that front. WAC is one of my favorite labels.
A highly recommended fifth installment of the series.

The Thin Man series is finally in HD! In this sequel, Powell and Loy are firmly-seated in the lives of these two amazing characters, and the dialogue comes at you with machine-gun quickness in the best possible way.
