One of my all time favorite John Carpenter Movies. The THING not just a horror movie but one of the greatest films of of all time.

John Carpenter may have established himself as a master of horror with Halloween but he cemented it with The Thing. The pacing, performances, and effects really make it stand out from similar movies of the time.

I have the standard Blu-ray of this film, but I couldn't pass up this collector's edition. It's jam packed with goodies and extra features. I definitely recommend adding this to anyone who is an avid horror fan.

Finally, one of the best sci-fi films of all-time gets a fantastic release - the picture quality is vastly upgraded from the previous blu-ray release, and this Scream Factory release is loaded with new and old extras.

One of the greatest science-fiction films of my generation! John Carpender at its best! Kurt Russell at his best! The script the acting the story everything falls into place amazing chilling suspenseful!

I love this movie and watch every winter. I had been looking for the television edit for longtime. I remember catching the version once and it had an element of being a documentary which made it seem authentic.

I feel this is a highly underrated movie, each person I've told to watch it came back and said it was great and wondered why they had never watched it before. Looks great on Blu-ray!

One of my all time favorite horror science fiction movies. I owned the previous blu ray but this special edition looks and sounds better than original. A must own for the fans of " The Thing ".

The Thing is an amazing film and as such, the packaging was great with it. Shout! Factory did a great job with this release and would highly recommend this to anyone who is, or isn't, a fan.

This is Carpenter's best film delivering solid scares and all around great performances by the cast. This Blu Ray is a must have for any film fan. Scream Factory scores again with this release.

There's not much to tell except that the Blu Ray edition looks great and sounds great. I'd had the DVD for many years and finally decided to upgrade. I'm am completely happy that I did.

My husband and I love this movie and Best Buy is the only one who had it. And it was in Blue Ray as well. Win Win. Would recommend this product to anyone who loves older movies.

Like the White Album, I guess I have to buy this every time a new edition comes out. Even if you have the old blu ray release, buy this if you like this movie...it’s worth it.

More than thirty years after it's release this movie still holds up really well. The video and audio are both high quality. The massive amount of bonus features should satisfy any fan.
