I watched this movie when it came out in 1986. I’ve seen it through a stream platform , dvd, video, and broadcast television. This is the best version yet. Quickly brought me back to the excitement I experienced when i first saw this movie. Small price to pay for a great nostalgic experience.

I loved this movie as a kid and now seeing remastered in 4k resolution makes me feel like a kid again watching it!!! If you were ever a fan of the transformers in 80’s as a kid you must get this, steelbook makes it even better!!!

I had the touch, I had the power, so I chose to purchase one of the most traumatizing films from my middle school years and now it's in 4K Ultra HD! The film looks fantastic and you will marvel at how Hasbro opted to kill off so many of our favorites just so that they could make new toys!

This is one of my favorite movies from my childhood. I unfortunately missed out on the Blu-ray steelbook a few years ago. After hearing about this 4K steelbook rerelease I immediately knew I had to buy it. The picture quality is outstanding, definitely the best version of this film ever released.

Pretty sure this is as good as this movie is ever going to look. Its a very small upgrade compared to the Blu-Ray release. However, if you are a fan of this movie its worth the price to view it under the best resolution and color conditions. The steelbook packaging is very nice as well.

I never saw this movie when it came out. Saw it on a used vhs when I was in my late 20s. When it came out on dvd bought it. When blu ray steelbook came out bought it, and ow it’s on 4 k steelbook and it’s just awesome picture and sound quality my child hood is preserved

Still the best Transformers movie of all time. It’s amazing how they can actually improve the graphics on a move that was made so many years ago. Still one of my favorites. The Steelbook was amazing. Too bad it was damaged in the mail. So immediate I purchased.

The Blu-ray release from years ago was already a beautiful remaster but the 4K release exceeds that with even more faithful recoloring and a brand new 4K transfer that the including Blu-ray also uses. A classic all Transformers fans should own.

This is the best release of the movie to date. This has two versions of the movie. The widescreen and the full screen versions. The widescreen version is the only one that's displayed on 4K. The set includes a Blu-ray disc, which has the full screen version on it. This set has three new features. The ones that cross over from the Blu-ray release from 2016 are the "'Til All Are One" documentary, audio commentary track, "The Death of Optimus Prime", "The Cast & Characters", "Transformers Q&A", animated storyboards, original theatrical trailers, and TV spots.

I absolutely love it, and in hdr it looks better than ever. The steelbook case is amazing. I wish they could figure out the coloring for hotrod a little more but overall still the greatest cartoon movie ever made, with a rocking soundtrack.

As a big fan of this cartoon in the 80s, it was great to see a remastered release of the original movie. The visuals are sharp and the audio crisp. I would recommend this to any true Transformers fan, especially those who grew up on it.

This is one of my favorite movies from when I was younger and it’s still good now. I would even call it better than the Michael Bay movies. Just a warning to parents, there is some cussing in the movie but not a lot.

I loved this movie ever since I saw it back in 1986. The steelbook is great looking. The movie itself has never looked better and the sound is excellent. This is a must have, especially if you are a fan of the franchise.

Clean, nice, and well-done. The extensive use of spot-gloss elevates this thing well above what it deserved. Artwork is solid. If you are considering a purchase of the movie at all, get this steelbook. It is gorgeous.

Shout! Factory did an incredible job on this 4K restoration. And the steelbook looks INSANE! The pictures on here don't do it justice, this seriously POPS. One of the most detailed steelbooks i've seen lately.

Been a fan of this film since it’s original release, and have every home version that’s come out. Had to have the 4K version and it does not disappoint. Amazing art on the steelbox cover as well

Great to see this classic in 4k. Guess I will be buying this movie every five years. Relieve the tragedy of the original transformers getting decimated in Hasbro’s hope of pushing a new set of toys.

This is one of the best if not the best anime in history. Awesome soundtrack and story. The 4K looks even better than the other versions. You will clearly see the difference as soon as it starts playing.

Even though it doesn't mention it in the description - this steelbook includes both the 4K and Blu Ray version. No Digital. You also get 4 art cards !
