There are many people who were disappointed that this box set reuses tracks from the 2009 UK editions and is therefore not true to the original, vintage sound of the US albums. But the sound on those original US LPs was altered at times without creative input and oversight by the artists. With this new box set, the Beatles acknowledge the existence of the US albums, and are finally set the record straight with regards to their sound quality. And they're fun listens, too. I especially like hearing tracks that were relegated to the Past Masters compilation in the UK set, presented here in a different context alongside album tracks. The one-two punch of "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and "I Saw Her Standing There" on the first US album, Meet The Beatles, must have been a great way to kick-off Beatlemania in the States! As for the discs themselves, most have mono and stereo mixes on the same disc, which is a great idea-- the best of both worlds. (The only knock I have is that the music is presented a bit louder on the disc than necessary.) And the packaging is superb, too-- faithful recreations of the original '60s LPs, down to the inner disc sleeve advertising other Capitol albums and artists. All in all, a wonderful piece of nostalgia and a fascinating second take on Beatlemania that no fan should be without!

You're never going to please all of the people all of the time, but this set goes a long way to pleasing as many potential consumers as possible. Those simply wishing to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of The Beatles' arrival in the US get a great-looking package with the music, cover designs, label designs, and even inner sleeves to take them back to that time period, whether they were there or not; the casual (i.e., non-obsessive) fan gets almost every 1962-1966 recording, in both mono and stereo, at a very competitive price (plus Hey Jude); while the obsessive among us (they know who they are) get most - though unfortunately not all - of the unique mixes the US albums contained, plus all the other stuff. I'm delighted it exists at all. It's a compromise but, really, it has to be.

Every "disc" comes with a replica of the original LP artwork as well as a record sleeve that looks identical to the original from the sixties. As an owner of many vinyl albums of the Beatles, I was pleased to see that the original "butcher cover" was included with the cover up sticker also. The stereo version of Rubber Soul includes the production error never before heard on CD. It includes an exclusive interview disc called The Beatles Story and a neat picture book about the band. A must buy for any Beatles fan. Each disc is presented in mono then the entire album is presented in stereo. (An 11 song LP becomes a 22 song CD.)

No use commenting on the music, that's been done before. How do they sound? Pretty darn good! However for the hardcore collector...the source material is confusingly varied. Some are from the old Duophonic masters while others are from the recent UK remasters. And limited notes on which are which. Have to head to the internet to get the source material clearly identified. However it is great to see the CDs contain BOTH the stereo and mono versions where one had to purchase two separate box sets for the UK versions. And the plastic outer and inner liner sleeves are a true bonus! Great to have the original album cover art too.

Really good Xmas gift but pricey. Was only thing she wanted.

This is a great collection of the U.S. releases of the Fab Four. Yes, you may have all these songs in your other collections, but these are the albums that I remember when I bought them as a kid. For collectors, like me, it is a must have. For those younger than I, it might be nice to have the U.S. versions and experience Beatlemania the way Americans did 50 years ago.

For Beatles fans it is a pretty complete collection of their music! Brings back lots of memories as you listen to these great songs from the 60's and 70's. The packaging is good Nice storage box with each CD having its own cardboard holder. Also contains a booklet with great information on the history of each album which does include some pictures! Nice set overall!

The mono versions sound great, but when I started listening to the stereo versions after the mono versions, I was like listening to a completely different material. Perfectly remastered pieces of treasures. No regrets!

This is the way two generations of American Beatles fans listened to this music. It's great to hear it again. I do wish they had used the original Capitol mixes. This set is a must for the American fans.

The packaging of all the US Albums is great! It's awesome to finally have all of The US Albums! They cd's sound amazing it's a great addition to my Beatles collection. A must have for any music fan.

The Beatles: The U.S. Albums has all of the Beatles CD albums that were released in the U.S. The CD albums do not have the sounds from the U.S. Instead it has the 2009 remastered sounds. I Love The Beatles: The U.S. Albums.

This package is nicely put together and designed to replicate the look of the original LPs right down to the last detail.. Even the inner sleeves replicate the original LP releases.

Finally CDs the way they were released as vinyl 50 years ago in the U.S. The earlier CD releases were the UK versions. These are Great!

I'm a Beatles fan so this is perfect for me. I love the fact that this set has both mono and stereo versions of certain albums. Great product all around.

It has been years since I have heard these albums in the US order. The albums that I have owned since I bought them in the 60's are now back.

I bought it on sale after long wait. I have enjoyed this box set so far. I would definately recommend this US Beatles Box.

The Beatles: US Albums is a great box set for ALL fans of The Beatles. It's especially nice for hardcore collectors.

finally a Butcher cover release and also the Hey jude LP and the Beatles story lp

like the album art work have all the songs except the beatles story . to me it is worth it for the casual fan probably a little steep in price
