Four movies just for the price of one, a very good deal

Great to have all the Matrix collection all together but personally what it should be included is the digital copy of them.

Well, I said I wasn't going to buy this set, but BestBuy had the set for $69.99, so it was hard to pass up! Not to mention you can't buy Matrix Blu-Ray, by itself. I am typing this review as I watch " The Matrix " on Blu-Ray for the first time and the clarity is quite amazing. You actually see things that were missed on the SD version, with the increased depth of field and higher resolution. On the sound front, this TrueHD mix is fantastic, making this my best DVD buy of 2008. And I buy a lot of Blu-Ray Dvd's! The superb soundtrack now presented in TrueHD really gave my Onkyo/Polk system a real workout, with Bass that will have your home framework trembling and highs that just might break fine glassware at high volumes (no joke). If you were looking for that perfect Blu-Ray to show off your new system, this is the one! I tried to look for any weaknesses in the encoding of (now viewing end of Revolution) and As the films progress they actually begin to look better! In Matrix you will see a small amount of grain, but its never excessive, where as Reloaded/Revolutions are flawless.. The difference between the Blu-Ray set and the HD-DVD set is the Animatrix is now in Hi Def. But at the same time the HD packaging was more sturdy, with higher quality cases, where as the BD version is now presented in slimline cases. I don't mind because on my shelves smaller is better! The one thing I didn't like was the extra's being presented in 480i/p which to me is not good, considering the price you are paying for the set. After watching all the discs, I have concluded that I really got a bargain for what I paid.. The Matrix is a fine film and this presentation looks better than when I saw it first at the theater.. Between my surround sound, my tv, and my blu-ray player these movies were AMAZING. I felt like the bullets were grazing past me! I even noticed things I had never noticed due to the crystal clear picture. I was "iffy" about selling my matrix dvds just because they are available on blu-ray, but after reading previous reviews I decided to do it. There are certain movies that I simply call "blu-ray worthy" which means if there is plenty of action like in movies such as these or 300 or Black Hawk Down or Transformers...those movies are worth the selling of the dvds and upgrading to blu-ray. The only regret I have of this purchase is the animatrix just because I'm not into anime movies, there are tons of extras for those who are interested.

THE MATRIX TRILOGY is the most stunning piece of art that I have ever seen! The films are a thinly veiled metaphor for the human condition as understood by the minds of the Wachowskis. Part one is about the mind, part two is about the body, part three is about the soul. Or, part one is about birth, part two is about life, and part three is about death. Highest Recommendation.

This review is more about Best Buy than about the movies....I really wanted to get this for my husband for Christmas.. i checked everywhere online for it. Not only did Best Buy have it in stock but they also had it the cheapest. After i had placed my order I received an e-mail informing me that it was being shipped immediately. It arrived quickly and my husband was surprised Christmas morning. very satisfied with my experience with Best Buy .com

This box set includes all 3 movies, the Animatrix for the first time in high definition, and more bonus materials than anyone really ever needs. The video in this set is nothing shy of reference material, as is the video. If you wanted a demo disc to show your friends why they need to get a blu-ray player, look no further! My only problem with this set is that Warner has decided to release it with non-standard cases leaving it sticking out like a sore thumb on your shelf.

A Fantastic trilogy but even more fantastic on blu-ray. The Matrix in HD is nothing short of a roller coaster ride. The computer generated scenes are simply something to marvel and and it all comes very alive with the High definition sound. You've got to get this series if you are a fan. As soon as I found out that these movies came on blu-ray, I sold my old copies.

EVERYONE THINKS THIS IS A VIOLENCE MOVIE... BUT IT'S ACTUALLY ABOUT MANKIND'S' STRUGGLE TO SHARE THE PLANET AND HOW THE MISTAKES OF THE PAST MARK THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FUTURE. OVERALL I LOVE THE DEEP PHILOSOPHICAL CONNOTATIONS THE MOVIE HAS... OF COURSE THE ACTION IN ADDITION TO THE VISUAL EFFECTS ARE JUST MIND BLOWING. TAKE THE TIME TO REVIEW THE ROOTS OF THE MATRIX AND OTHER FEATURES FOR MORE UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT I MEAN.

You haven't seen the Matrix until you see it on Blu-Ray. Neo never looked so good beating up Agent Smith until NOW!!!! Do like everyone else is doing by selling off your old versions for the new experience of a lifetime on Blu-Ray!!! Go get it today!!!!!

I was going to originally going to get this on hd dvd but when I saw that it was coming to Blue Ray I had to wait until today to get it. I love all the features and how they can pop up while your watching the movie. The quality is great and the extra features are almost too much. GREAT MOVIE. GREAT BUY

These are some of my favorite films so when they went on sale on bluray I had to upgrade my DVDs. Still great flicks but I was disappointed there is no top menu on the movie. I accidentally hit stop a few times while watching and I had to FF through to the part we were on. It did not resume from where we were like it should have and there is no ability to do scene selection. But overall I'm happy with my purchase

"The Matrix" has been on my top 10 list since first released. In blu-ray format, the soundtrack is exceptional (and it definitely shows off my home theater system) and the films are visually stunning! I'm glad I waited to buy the collection in blu-ray.

Have gone all HD & had to have it. Best possible sound, picture, & complete collection of extras. Could watch these discs a million times.

If you loved the Matrix on DVD, then you will really love it in High definition. The movie looks amazing, the world of the Matrix has never looked so good. This is a must have for anyone who is a Matrix fan.

Really enjoyed seeing them all touched up. Bright light looks much better on blu-ray than dvd and the matrix had a lot of bright light scenes

This is a must buy for matrix fans and collectors. This set has everything you need and the graphics and sound is incredible.

was totally worth upgrading to this set for any fan could do with a lil more extras but overall a great set
