This is another great addition to our disc collection.

One of the best crime/caper/mystery/thriller films of all time. Film quality is excellent, but very light on extras. Would like to have seen more done for this edition, but worth the purchase off of the strength of the film itself.

The movie can be drawn out at times and move slow but it's one of those you just have to be able to say that you have watched. Great twist also.

With it being an "anniversary edition" I would expect a few bonus features, there are none though, just buy the regular blu ray

I watched this for the first time this summer. It was a good movie, not great up until the last minute. The last minute turned a good movie into one of the greatest movies ever made and the greatest magic trick ever pulled. "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didnt exist. And like that....He's gone."- Verbal Kint. Kevin Spacey's Oscar-Winning performance was breathtaking to watch. Bryne, Del Toro, Pollack, Baldwin, Palminteri, and Possleworth were unbelievable and the on-screen chemistry was brilliant! One of the most well-acted movies you'll ever see. Brian Singer was a very young director when he shot this, and he pulled off a miracle! Mquarrie won an Oscar for the screenplay which was also riveting! Extras will keep you busy and are fun to watch. A must-have for a movie enthusiast and one who likes the classics.

Yes, this film is a classic. I had to write a review after seeing another reviewer claim that there is no reason to watch this film again. This cast is just amazing - Kevin Spacey, Gabriel Byrne, Benicio Del Toro, Stephen Baldwin, Kevin Pollack and Chazz Palminteri all give outstanding performances individually, and collectively they are mesmerizing. I have watched this film many times just for this aspect. Another exceptional component of this work is its dialog: hysterical at times, ominous at others, suspenseful always. You will replay lines in your mind long after seeing the film. "Sure you brought enough guys?" "I live in Queens" "Flip you for real" "Give me the keys" The soundtrack is sneaky. You don't realize it's there most times, but it does a superb job of building tension. It's hard to tell what's best about this film: the performances, the dialog, or the basic storyline. This is a storyline that you might or might not get the first time around, but additional nuances will likely be revealed after repeated viewing. And since it's such a pleasure to watch, what's the harm? If you've already got the DVD, I'd wonder whether getting the Blu-ray version was worth it, mainly because it lacks the bonus material I have on my CD. I've even listened to the commentary more than once, but if you're a videophile, be sure to get both: DVD and Blu-ray. Enjoy viewing!

It's not a family movie, by far, but when this movie comes up in conversation with anybody I meet it's always a favorite. Everyone brings up that they think it's one of the best movies ever made, and I happen to agree. the ending is confusing to many and it may have to be watched twice in order to understand everything, but it's totally worth it. Once everything in the movie is understood, it'll probably be in your top favorite movies. Of course it's not a movie for those who hate violence and crude language. Plus the features this DVD comes with, it's understood even more. The cast explain their views on the movie and it's not only enjoyable to hear the thoughts behind the set, it helps you develop your own views even more. And that's a definite plus to a movie that can be very confusing. Skeptics should watch it anyway and even if you're not convinced, you'll still be captured by the great acting and Amazing music score. Watch and this movie will draw you in.

this movie was made by bryan singer who was involved in the transformers franchise. it is a movie i could watch a hundred times and learn something new each time. kevin spacey ending up as the villain in the end is the nicest twist of the movie. it was originally supposed to be gabriel byrne who was keyser soze but they went with spacey and it works. who would suspect his character verbal who is a stupid cripple as stated by verbal himself. the ending of the movie is a classic how verbal manages to walk off his limp and uses his left hand properly while waiting to be picked up by Kobayashi. the name that was under verbal's coffee cup. one must wonder what was real and what was bogus.

I feel like any review I write of the movie will give something away, which is a crime. So if you like suspenseful thrillers with TREMENDOUS acting and one hell of a script, watch this movie. Only one instruction: do not watch it in pieces. You'll miss something. Plop down for two hours and don't look away!

I recently purchased this movie again on blue ray and I can say it certainly has re-watch value. I think a great amount of the fun is experiencing the suprise ending with someone that hasn't seen the film before (which is actually why I bought it). Truth be told I think I enjoyed it just as much. If this is not already a part of your movie collection you need to make one.
