A good album for the money, enjoying the old music

Eric Burdon one of the best all time blues singers

Not familiar with some of the songs but love the House of the Rising Sun.

This was good, but not great. I would have changed 2 of the not popular songs for others.

good oldies music. Even a couple I didn't remember. I guess I'm al oldie too!

Eric Burdon and crew rode the wave of success just like their local statesmen the Stones and the Beatles but did so with a giant swerve to the blues. Experience the distinction in tunes like 'Boom Boom', 'Baby Let Me Take You Home', or the classic blueprint of that genre 'House Of The Rising Sun'. They could've sold out for true rock 'n' roll diddies but they held firm to their roots with howling swagger and big boy talk. Their motto was " Screw the establishment - We have the enhancement and it's color is BLUE......."

This particular album has one of my all-time favorite songs included in the playlist: House of the Rising Sun. I feel the group, The Animals, brings this particular song to life better than any other singer/songwriter that has performed this song. You can't go wrong on getting this group into your playlist. It will soon become one of your favorite to listen to.

One of the finest collections of Animals hits. Even if you are not familiar with their music you will recognize the tunes if you are at least 50 and if younger, you should treat yourself to real music. Rock an Roll, New Orleans style blues, great ambiance. Unbelievable bargain from the Best Buy CD bin.

If you liked music from the late 60/s you can't do much better than Eric Burden and the Animals Greatest Hits. Even if you don't remember some of the titles beyond the instant classics you will have a deja vu moment when the remaining songs play. Well worth the $$ esp when you can find it in the discount CD bin.

There is no better way to reminisce on the sixties than to listen to the tracks on this CD. It is so much fun to be transported from the troubles of twenty twenty back to the hippieish sixties!
