This documentary gave me a whole new insight to the Vietnam War that I never knew about before. Most people would say that 18 hours is a lot of time to commit to watching anything, but for it to be the most controversial war within that past 100 years, it covers a lot of different aspects of the war over those 18 hours. Buy this bluray!

It is much better than I expected, they put a lot of research into this series, well thought out and presented, it gives in-depth study into the reasons for the war lasting so long, why it was lost, the politics, the leadership, interview many vets, if you want to learn the history of the Vietnam war, start here...

Excellent series. Quality work. Real insight of the events of the time. For a candid look behind the scenes, watch this DVD. Some details of the political aspects are sure to shock. Bought it for my Vietnam veteran husband. He feels it’s an important series and was glad to have it. Price was very good here at Best Buy too.

This movie is very good if you like history or anything that deals with the Vietnam War. They did a great job clearing up old film into up to date film. Very clear and the score/soundtrack is made for the times. You will enjoy learning new things about the war and remember some of these good old bands too.

Ken Burns has always produced excellent documentaries for PBS. This is one of his BEST- comprehensive and insightful- moving and extremely emotional, in any number of areas- brings back many memories for the generations that lived through it- wonderful educational opportunities for those too young to have been there.

Hats off to Ken Burns and Lynn Novick. This was a stellar Documentary of the Vietnam War. It had lots of insights and perspectives from both sides of the war. Once I started watching them I couldn't stop. Great Documentary.

Fantastic documentary on the Vietnam War. It not only looks at the war itself and the men who were sent to fight. It also looks at the political situation at home and how it affected the fighting of the war.

I am a Vietnam veteran. I learned more about the Vietnam War from this series than I have for the last fifty years. Whether you participated in the war or not, you need to get this series.

This miniseries starts at the very beginnings of the conflict. As far back as the Japanese occupation in WW2 and continued on with interviews from all sides and perspectives. Ending with the memorial and healing processes on both sides.

this is the most comprehensive video on the war that I have ever seen. My brother only watched it for a short time and couldn't watch it any more. He served 2 years over there

This is a fantastic documentary of the vietnam war. Ken Burns does an excellent job at describing the entire war from start to finish. The footage shown is incredible, with much of it never seen before. Highly recommended

I learned a lot of facts about Viet Nam that I did not know. I saw a lot of film footage that I had seen on TV during the 50's and 60s. I visited the Viet Nam Wall Memorial when I was in Washington D.C.. Ken Burns did an excellent job in recapturing this period of time in American history. He is an awesome filmmaker.

There have been many documentaries over the years about the Vietnam War. This is the best one I have seen thus far! I highly recommend this to anyone that is interested in this time period of our nation’s history!

Highly informational account of Vietnam and the US involvement. Well put together and had a lot of information that I did not know and lots of behind the scene commentary and film clips. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I grew up in the 60's and don't d not know exactly what went on. Late night news was always talks ng about the war nightly. Nor I know a lot more from this documentary.
