I may be one of the few, but I am catching this series late. At first, I held off because I thought it was just gore and zombies. I was very wrong. The plot is more than just the zombies. I bought this season, and all of the others. I'm really enjoying it!

This show starts out slowly and sucks you in! Each season is better than the previous and you will find yourself binge watching an entire season at a time if not careful, at which point you start to resemble a walker! Ha-ha! I highly recommend this series!

This is the 1st series and it is a must for all die hard fans to own since this is the beginning of the series. Without watching the 1st series, it will be hard to understand the next series. This is the introduction of many of the main characters.

I love the stories behind the characters and the way they all become a family and take of each other

I LOVE the Walking Dead!! I watch all of the episodes over & over! It's not just zombie's & blood, I watch it because of the storyline. It's amazing to see what this group does to survive & the sacrifices they have had to make along the way!

My family and I watched a few of The Walking Dead episodes when AMC ran a series marathon a few months ago. We liked the show enough to order the first season. We were not disappointed, and ordered the rest of the series through Best Buy.

Just like all of the walking dead series, the acting of the actors and zombies were amazing.....such wonderful makeup on the zombies ... I've never been one to like movies or series about zombies but this series is the best ever!!!!! Excellent!!

I love this series the first 2 seasons especially . I could watch this season over and over again. You can't go wrong with this season. Once the "prison arc" starts it may get boring but if you push through it it's great.

I didn't think I would be into the whole zombie thing, but this show is excellent! I didn't want to stop watching! Would definitely recommend it! I bought this as a Christmas gift to myself and even got my parents hooked on the show!

I STARTED WATCHING BECAUSE MY FIVE YEAR WAS WATCHING IT AND EXPLAINED TO ME HOW THEY WERE REALLY ZOMBIES NOT REAL PEOPLE AND THE BLOOD WAS CATSUP. SHE LOVES IT AND ALWAYS WAITS FOR THE NEXT SEASON. AND I HAVE RECOMMENDED THIS SHOW TO MY FRIENDS.

My wife loves this show. I like it too, but not as much as her (I prefer movies to series). That said, I think anyone that enjoys the zombie genre will like this series (especially if you like the Romero movies - a.k.a. slow zombies). Season 1 was short, but every episode was good. It was a great start to the series! I bought seasons 1-5 at the same time, and was a little bummed that 1 & 2 didn't come with a slip cover.

This is one of the best shows I have seen and by far the best zombie film or series out there. This season is really gritty and raw and it is a cool feel for this kind of show making it feel like your etching a classic.

As with most television the acting could be more natural and unnoticed in places, but the overall show is impressive in the scale and spectacular effects. It’s full of unlikely moments and characters you love to hate. Not bad at all and good for background rewatching as I multitask. It kept my interest and it looks like it’s bigger in scale than it is. Pretty decent.

Can't get better than the first season. Especially going back to re-watch how many of the characters relationships began & where they are now 7 seasons later (you know, for those that are still alive!)

I live in a northern suburb of Atlanta and it was awesome to see my city featured in this series. Season One gives the audience a terrifying start to a thrilling adventure in a post apocalyptic world.

I shouldn't even have to put anything in writing about any season of this franchise! !! I watched it once and I can't wait until I have another opportunity to do it again! !! Going back down memorial road felt so good! !!

More than just zombies running around and being slaughtered. The story line and characters are well written. The first episode starts a little slow but picks up and is essential for setting the story line.

I purchased this season because I heard great things about the show. I've since purchased the other seasons that are out. I love the show. The only downfall to this season is there are not very many episodes in this season.

I am building my Walking Dead collection. Glad to have found this title in blu-ray. My only grap is I wish you could buy all the seasons all at once.

My favorite TV series of all time! I am 44 years old and this is easily, by far, the best TV show I have ever seen! Vanity Fair says "The Walking Dead is the best new television show of the year".
