Similar to shows like "LOST", The Walking Dead continues season after season to deliver powerful scripts that are performed by a marvelous cast. Some fans have said that the 4th season started slow but got better. Well, I don't have cable or any other means to see "TWD" as it originally airs, so I am totally reliant on the Blu ray release to see each season, and let me tell you, as an owner of the first 3 seasons on Blu ray, I was NOT disappointed in Season 4! It held my interest and built excitement and anticipation with each episode. Major shocks and surprises are a hallmark of this show and Season 4 was no exception. It has only made me anticipate Season 5 all the more. I like Best Buy's approach too with the special exclusive content and packaging. I will be there at Best Buy next Aug/Sept or so when Season 5 is released!

I bought season 4 of TWD (thewalkingdead) on blu-ray, not from Best Buy but from my nearby Walmart. Walmart had the season 4 TWD bluray limited edition box set with collectible Metal Prison Key. Had to jump on that great find as it was a Walmart exclusive. It also has a lot of comic art all over the box! Very nice find! Skip the regular plain blu-ray box version and get this one!!

First of all I would like to state that the Walking dead series is amazing. On the other hand my experience with Cinema Now.. not so much. On every episode of the season it would cut out and stop at the 38 minute mark and would not allow me to finish watching.. this only happened on the Cinema Now player. The screen kept adjusting the aspect ratio online but the player it's self doesn't. So I had to go back and forth to just complete each episode.. starting with player because it didn't flicker while changing the aspect; then when it would stop at the 38 min mark I would go online to watch the rest and deal with the aspect ratio issue. Overall it seems like this Cinema Now service has a lot of glitches that need to be worked out. Also, if you're planning on a mint condition DVD box.. don't count on it.. looks like it was thrown up against a wall a few times.

I have been a diehard fan since season 1; and has only gotten better and better very season. This season seems to be more about what the mental and emotional changes are like for the characters. The crazy fear from season 1, season 2 uniting for battles and the search for safety, season 3 the belief they were relatively safe and then the absolute horror of knowing they weren't, has certainly taken it's toll. The violence and the dangers are still there, both from zombies and from other survivors. But this season we are seeing the effects on the mind, heart and souls. In my opinion, best show on tv right now. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it. Side Note: this "special" Lenticular Packaging, save the extra $$ and just get the regular blu ray.

The Walking Dead is a great show that is based on a great comic series. I highly recommend anyone to watch and read both. This particular season of the show was somewhat different in than previous seasons. In wake of the attack on the prison, the main characters of Rick's group have been separated into 4 or 5 smaller groups and they journey through the woods in an attempt to find sanctuary in a place not too far away. The viewers get to learn some more in depth details about certain group members pasts. Some of the smaller groups meet some possible new friends or enemies. And as usual expect an epic cliffhanger for the season finale. If you're reading this and haven't watched the show, stop what you're doing and start watching.

The disks function exactly as expected. It would be hard for someone to give a negative review for this set of Walking Dead Season 4 (Blu-Ray disks). Presumably, people looking at a S4 review have already seen seasons 1-3. If you haven't seen it, give it a whirl. The first 10-15 minutes of Season 1 are slow, but after that it takes off. As for my Best Buy experience: I ordered online to pick up in-store on the day of release. The store gave me a sealed box set with a large sticker covering the front. When I got home (25 miles) and ripped off the plastic wrap, I discovered the person gave me Season 1. I had to drive back and swap the set for the appropriate item.

With Dexter ending (more like fizzling out) and Breaking Bad closing up shop in epic fashion, The Walking Dead has taken the crown as the best show on TV currently. For anyone thinking that this is just another show about zombies (well, walkers), you're wrong. The main point of the show is to illustrate the morality of a world without law and how the choices you make to survive change who you are. Each season keeps raising the bar. You'll want to start from season 1 and give it at least 5 episodes to start to hit stride. When you get to this season, you won't be disappointed!

I preordered this 2 wks before it's release and it got to me 2 days after it was available in stores. I returned it since I was able to walk in the store and just buy it off the shelf. (There should be some sort of incentive for preordering, a physical item or receive the item before others can.) The customer who preorders shouldn't have to wait on the item to ship and be penalized for preordering. Something's wrong with this process! I recommend the walking dead, I discourage preordering! (Until it's fixed to benefit the person who preorders!)

So this is season four. You're obviously a fan, so that's why you're looking to buy it. Go on. Totally worth it. Let's have a little diatribe on why it's so awesome.Hello? Zombies. Nicotero's work is in my opinion unequivocal. The acting, well, I'm convinced. I love all the characters, Michonne being one of my personal favorites. I can't wait to see what they're going to do in season five, and what better way to prep yourself than with a marathon? Did you even really need a review to buy it? probably not. So get it, get it now!

Love the show and had to buy it for HD blu ray continuation of my collection. Packaging was interesting for a throw in exclusive. Added extras are neat from commentary on most episodes, to deleted scenes, and additional footage. However if the UltraViolet only Digital copy trend continues as it seems to be popular with most blu rays I will be looking other places. I tried with this series I love to be optimistic about buying a Blu Ray with UV only digital copy, until I got home, put in the code and Flixster disappear as a UV option when I entered the code. The whole point of digital copies is ease of use across multiple devices, however when I go to use the UV code and tie it to the other vendor I have loaded my handful of other UV codes onto now I can't do it???? I was forced to add it to Vudu or Target Ticket only. The site had flixster as an option until I entered my code???? WTF??? Now I have to use Vudu for this copy and this is the only Digital copy I have on Vudu. This will probably be the last physical copy I buy of the show, next season I will just buy the Season pass on either Apple TV or Amazon and just make the complete shift to digital and have access to the episodes immediately after they air.

This season was outstanding & very impactful!!! It shows the attempts of the group, who are trying to carve out & create a society based on our current way of life. This mirrors the lessons that Dale & Herschel try to impart to our heroes. Unfortunately, this task is nearly impossible when anarchy runs rampant and other bands of survivors utilize their own immoral code of conduct. It clearly illustrates that people will quickly become complacent with immoral rules when their own personal safety is at risk.

If you have any of the previous Walking Dead seasons, then you know what to expect. Great picture and sound. Menu is done nicely. Haven't watched the extras yet but there seems to be a serviceable amount similar to what has been done in the past. Season was pretty good, though it seemed to stall a bit once (SPOILER) the characters separated for a time (END SPOILER.) Also the exclusive BB cover is a nice touch. So if you plan on getting this anyway, get the exclusive version.

What can a person say about The Walking Dead? It is one of the best shows on television, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on S4 so that I could get my memory refreshed before the start of S5. The only downside about this package is that the digital copy is only available on VUDU. I have most of my digital content on Flixster, so this would not have been my first choice. Frankly, the whole UV thing is a joke, but at least I have streaming access to some of my content.

Great TV show. Watch it live then re-watch with spectacular Blu-RAy quality. As well this come packed with amazing deleted scenes. Also Featuretts for every single Episode! This Season a lot happens and a refresh before Season 5 starts never hurts! The great thing is you get to see the actors and their takes on the story and its characters. As well you get to see some of how the set is made and the lengths they have to go through to make things look and feel real.

The Walking Dead is an incredible show so if you have not seen it then buy it, that is all I need to say. If you are already a fan, this is a multi-disk Blu-Ray package. The last disk contains all the special features. There are some nice featurettes contained on the disk. The only special features on the other disks are audio commentary. I never listen to these as I really do not care what other people are talking about when I watch a show. Overall, buy it!!!

I have loved this show since the first season and the 4th season is just as entertaining. This show is very addictive and every episode can be unpredictable as well as the characters and the acting is top-notch. If anyone has never seen this show and you like thrillers, do yourself a favor and get every season available and watch from the beginning and stick with it. You won't be disappointed.

The Walking Dead, Season 4 picks up where Season 3 leaves off. Peril around the corner. Gotta fear the Walkers/Biters, but why do people always have to be in a struggle for power? I guess the end of the world is still a place to fight each other. Well, lots of realism. If we ever do have a zombie apocalypse, The Walking Dead is good training. It is easy to get hooked on this series!

Again The Walking Dead series continues to get better & better. I'm hoping it'll go on for at another 3-4 seasons before it becomes the time to end some of the characters lives. I've enjoyed it despite that lives are taken away so if you haven't seen the series I would recommend you watching it if your into survival & zombies(walkers-biters-etc). 5 out of 5 stars.

The Walking Dead season blu ray set is great. Every fan of the show will appreciate it. The digital download is sweet as an extra but I doubt I'll use it. There's a fair amount of resolution in this series, which is nice. The characters continue to grow and adapt to their new world.. new existence. All the cast that has survived so far returned for season 4.

This is the darkest and most character driven season with a few jaw dropping moments that will stick with you long after the season is over. As far as the bluray goes it's perfect. Video wise the original 16mm presentation is reproduced here faithfully and the 7.1 lossless track is the most enveloping and stunning TV audio track I've ever heard.
