Awesome Remotes - I Bought Both Phaser And Communicator And They Both Look And Work Great

I'm more of a Next Generation fan but this Phaser remote from the TOS is just too cool to pass up at the sale price. It's hefty weight, detail, and build quality are first rate. I can't say how it works as a tv remote...I'm strictly using it for display purposes.

I cannot recommend this highly enough. I havent used this as a remote, but as a prop replica this is as good as it gets. Amazingly high quality parts, crystal clear lights and sounds. If your looking for a star trek phaser replica this is as good as it gets.

This is a very well made and fun replica phaser. The sounds are very authentic to the show. At least from what I remember. Not sure how well it works as a remote control. I could not get mine to control my tv. I followed the directons but still nothing. Probably wouldn't be that usefull as one anyhow. That's the only reason I'm knocking off a star since it won't do everything it's supposed to. But as a replice it's great.

The attention to detail is amazing. All the functional parts are functional. All the parts are metal and high quality plastic. There are so many different sounds, easily swapped. Nothing quite as fun as zapping your TV to turn it on!

This is one of the best prop-quality units I have seen with even the weight feel exceeding expectations. I have they to try out the remote functions, as they are a bit complex to set up. but even as a display piece it shines.

The piece is very easy to set up and really looks great. It is not only a good display but actually has a function. The case it comes in is really cool as well.

Using this as a universal remote is pretty challenging to say the least. Also, it does not work with my Dish Network remote since it uses a different frequency. The Fx mode is really awesome with authentic sounds. It's usefulness as a universal remote, not so much.

After extensive research on this item, I picked one up at my local Best Buy while it was on sale. It is a fantastic reproduction of the phaser pistol from the original Star Trek series. By all accounts, it is one of the best replicas ever made, and at a fraction of the price premium versions have sold for in the past. I have not attempted to use the remote control function, as I already have a Logitech Harmony that I use and love dearly. The phaser is more than worth the asking price just as a superb replica.

Let's be honest. If you don't know what it is or its significance, you wouldn't even consider buying it. The real question is it worth getting? YES! Even if it wasn't a basic remote the collectible quality alone is worth it. It's not a limited numbered edition, but the craftsmanship is really good and the sound and lights are just icing. Good for Cons because now you can carry a great working prop and not have to baby it or walk in fear of damaging it like a high priced version.

This Phaser is a must for any Star Trek fan! Very good quality and has all the details. Sound effects are superb!
