    The War is a brilliant documentary. It covers WWII from the eyewitness perspectives of those who fought and those who waited for them to come home. Old photographs are expanded to the widescreen format beautifully and Keith David's narration is flawless. Highly recommended.

    As a WW2 buff I was really stunned at how many things I learned from this film. The impact on the GI and thier famalies was both heartfelt and enlighting. You need to devote at least 4-5 hours to watching it but you won't want to turn it off once you have started.
