What can you say about a sci-fi movie that is a classic.
Fortunately or unfortunately with hi definition TV's these days the movie takes a hit when you see wires, but when there were only 13 channels this movie had it all.

My husband has been wanting this movie for a long time, but we never could find it. One day I just happened to type in the title, and there it was. I order it for him and he was thrilled to get it.

Better than the remake where you are arguing with kid's over what is in their best interest while the world is being destroyed simply dulls the mind.

The War of the Worlds gets a update and location switch from the novel to 1950"s Los Angeles from Victorian London. Beyond that much of the eerie atmosphere of the novel is well translated. Acting, screenplay, effects all line up like a trio of Martian war machines to cut through all resistance.
