Great movie a regular classic a must have and a must watch by all

Good cinematography and sound for being a 27 year old movie. Gangs meet up for special meeting to "unite the clans" . The leader is killed, warriors are blamed and have to fight their way back to Coney Island. Some parts and characters are a little silly but keep in mind ,it's 1979. Famous line "warriors come out and play" came out of this one.

This is an amazing film. If you are wondering what the 70s looked like this movie brings out that nostalgia. The Warriors are a gang that witness a tragedy and get blamed for it. So they have to get home through other gangs territories while trying to figure out why everyone is out to get them. It is a classic and spawned video games the main one was in 2005 by Rockstar Games which adds to the backstory. It is available on PS2 PS3 and PS4. There was also a Warriors game on Xbox 360 called The Warriors Street Brawl. It is like Final Fight in 3D. I recommend this blu-ray copy of the movie if you can find it.

This is a fantastic film, any and everyone should see this movie at least once.

Always an entertaining movie, but the Director's Cut additions really subtract from it as a whole. There is an unnecessary and poorly read monologue at the opening, a disappointing change in the end credits, and silly cartoon/graphic novel animations at some key moments which really disrupt the flow and mood of the film. (Note to Director: We already understand that it's cartoonish -- I mean, there's a gang of MIMES shown near the beginning!) The superior theatrical version is not included or available on blu-ray elsewhere, unfortunately. On the positive side, both the picture and sound quality are very good. There are also some good special features included. For these reasons (and since the theatrical version is unavailable on blu-ray), I would recommend this...if you think the changes won't bother you too much.

Watched this movie when it first came out and loved it.It brought back memories when I was growing up and the guys I grew up with.We use to take public transportation and every now and then we would run into other gangs and have a little rumble or if we were out numbered we would sneak on the el or subway and meet back up in the neighborhood.That's why I like this movie,memories from when I was 14 to 16 years old.

The best movie of its kind from the era before every gang related movie had to be filled with F*bombs and nudity. the movie holds up after all these years

I have long enjoyed this movie and when I saw the price for a Blu Ray copy so low I jumped at the chance to buy it. This is a great story with decent characters and a fast moving pace, along with a cast of stars that went on to decent careers. This movie is a nice chance to see them before they were stars.

I came across this movie in the $4.99 bin. Love it

helps make sense of how to be a survivalist and watch for u'r own back but makes sense of what dangers u may face&beware at all times believe none of what u hear&1/2 of what u see
