A terrific movie. Beautifully written and acted. Steve Carrell stands out playing against his usual funny character. The entire cast is wonderful. Didn't want this one to end - so I bought the DVD to watch over and over. Highly recommend this movie. From the Oscar winning (co)writers of "The Descendants" - their directorial debuts.

I watched this movie at the recommendation of a friend, even though I wasn't sure it was "my type" of movie, and I'm not always a Steve Carrell fan. I was pleasantly surprised. It's really got a great blend of themes and does a great job of portraying some of the issues that face a teenage boy. I'd definitely recommend it!

The cast works so well together. Steve Carrell did such a great job in his role and the same can be said for Sam Rockwell. The characters got me super involved with the movie. I found myself reacting to just about everything that happened. Wont be dissappointed with this purchase.

Great cast. Great performances. Great writing, directing and all around fun film. Wonderful coming of age film with spectacular acting especially by Sam Rockwell; although everyone else in the cast including Steve Carrell's daring departure in a role that most in his popular shoes might refuse. A must own!

This film was Co-Written and Co-directed by first timers at least as far as the feature-film is concerned. Jim Rash and Nat Fallon, who you may have seen on TV do an excellent job in this coming of age film about an awkward teen coming into his own amidst the touter of almost everyone in his life.

This sleeper movie was such an unexpected treat. I knew very little of this film before picking it up as a blind-buy. I couldn't have been more happy with the purchase. A great story and great cast. This set comes with a good amount of features, perfectly suited for this film.

I purchased this movie after a friend recommended it and it did not disappoint. It’s a coming of age type of film with a solid cast and great acting. Liam Duncan does a really good job as the main character in this film. I’d recommend it to anyone who hasn’t seen it yet.

Sam Rockwell really had a breakout role in The Way Way Back. His comedic timing and dramatic acting really show, in his character. It was also a refreshing, and pleasant surprise from the dramatic chops of Steve Carell. This is a must see film, for sure.

This movie was a pleasant surprise. It let me remember my childhood and gave my children a glimpse of how it was in "The way way back". Steve Carrell was wonderful in his role in this movie. Showed all roles in the past, present and future in your life.

The joy of becoming a teenager and finding yourself. This movie shows that with friendship and even the odd members in your family you can/will get through it. You never know where your friends will come from and that even parents make mistakes.

The Way, Way Back is a character & family study in the vein of the humor of Little Miss Sunshine. The characters are off-beat. The angst of growing up. The hormones of growing up. The complicated nature of adult relationships. Very enjoyable movie.

Lovely story about being a teenager where you must ask yourself, would you have done it that way or done that? So do plunk down and pick up this disc and watch it with you teenager(s) and ask the important questions. You will thank me later. The kids will chat for hours (if you can stand it).

The Movie was good to me. The Only draw back to me was Steve Carell was in the movie, and was not good at all. His character stunk. but everyone else was good. the movie had some funny parts also. but you would have to see it for your self.

This movie brought me back to the times of my summer vacations when I was a teenager. Steve Carell plays a charatcer different from his usual. He hits it out the park. Sam Rockwell is great as usual. I really enjoyed watching this movie!

Let me start by saying I am the biggest Sam Rockwell fan. This movie brings that summer feel to the screen like very few movies can. Very funny and smart comedy! I purchased another copy of the film to give to parents-in-law.

this is a very good movie, such a good movie that I purchased for my personal collection. when I was at best buy I was greeted with hospitality & attentiveness. very good service & very good movie. I recommend the movie & best buy.

I loved this movie. It is a great coming of age movie that keeps you guessing for a while. It will make you laugh and it will pull at your heartstrings, a fun rollercoaster of an emotional ride, most teens I believe will like it.

The movie is somewhat predictable, but it's full of characters that you have some sort of feeling for. Steve Carrell is outstanding as the new boyfriend of the divorced mother. Sam Rockwell is outstanding as the manager of a water park. He is hilarious and energetic as usual.

I was thinking about turning this off a few times in the very beginning. I am glad I didn't as when it was all said and done, the total impact of the story and the characters were brought together beautifully in the end! Well worth the 120 minutes (or whatever the length is)!

I enjoyed the movie and felt as though it had a good moral lesson. I enjoyed seeing the main character go from quite, low self esteem, lacking friends and the ability to converse to people to being confident in himself and allowing for people to see how great he actually is.
