Raekwon's Best Album Since Only Built 4 Cuban Linx

If you have been disappointed with Chef Raekwon's releases since Immobilarity, then look no further. This album is a true redeemer. Raekwon cooked up a half-way good project with the skipworthy F.I.L.A. (Fly Internstion Luxurious Art), but The Wild is different. It's the return of the beast. You can hear hunger in these songs like the hard street anthem "This Is What It Comes Too," "M & N," and "You Hear Me". Raekwon also come through with some of his kingly tracks like "The Reign" and "Crown Of Thorns". The album does have some annoying skits and a lackluster track with Lil Wayne called "My Corner", so I can't give it a five star rating. It's a shame, because this is the deepest I've heard Raekwon in a long time. "Marvin" is a beautiful song that summarizes the touching and saddening story of Marvin Gaye's life and relationship with his father. Do you love the Wu-Tang Clan? This album what satisfy your thirst for cameo appearances by the Clan. Don't let that deter you though. Raekwon is as sharp as ever on this project, and he aims to please his loyal fans. I hope he continues on this path. Rae doesn't have the worst catalog, but you'd be hard pressed to find more than one album as consistent as this one across his discography.

Raekwon finds a middle ground between his vintage work and his recent more mainstream leanings with this set featuring some excellent cameos. You listen to Chef for the storytelling and crisp, uncompromising couplets, though. They are all here. Been released under the radar but this is what hip-hop should sound like.

A Good Pick For Rae Fans Of Wu Tang. My Only Real Arguments Against This Album Is It Has A Few Too Many Skits For Tracks That Lacks The Amount Of Songs For This CD Album But It Dope To Listen To. Rae's Skills Is Still Sharp As Before!

The Wild is a good album. It's sort of hardcore but also kind of mature. The album kind of jumps off track when Raekwon raps over modern beats in an attempt to sound current, but overall it's a good effort.

You can play this album start to finish without a single skip. Very few albums today have much replay value. I've listened to this album at least ten times.

This is one of the hardest albums to come out of New York in a long time. It bangs straight through.
