Upgraded to PS5 and this was one of the first games i bought. Was not disappointed. The improved graphics make it seem like a whole new game. Just remember if you purchase the disc, you'll also have to download the PS5 update from the Playstation store. You also get an extra armor set and other goodies as well, making this well worth the purchase!

Great storyline--must have had the input of psychologists, sociologists, anthropologists. I bet papers have been written about this game.

To call this game genre-defining would be an understatement. Combat design, world design, and quest-design from this generation of games all take notes from The Witcher 3. I would consider myself an avid Witcher fan, having played each of the previous games on PC. This game picks up without having to teach new players too much about the lore, but offers returning fans a way to move their own story forward into this world. Without spoiling anything story related, just be prepared for a epic tale that can be fairly complicated at times. There are many political factions and I honestly recommend having a printed map of the region next to you as geography is actually important. On the gameplay side, you have the option of swords, a crossbow, and your "signs" which are basically magic. These all flow together very nicely and feel similar to Shadow of Mordor. It is isn't quite as fast as that game or the Arkham series, it takes a more grounded approach, but it makes each encounter legitimately dangerous, especially on higher difficulties. This mechanics based combat, however, makes exploration a thrill as higher levels monsters can still be beaten early on with a little effort. The world is stunningly gorgeous and diverse. It seems almost unending. Your typical game session might have you following the main quest, then breaking off to a small village on top of a mountain. A side quest there sends you on a multipart adventure that feels almost more important than main quests in other games. After you've completed a few quests, you might take on hunting assignments to clear out monsters and along the way stumble into an underground fighting ring. The point is, you're never out of content to enjoy yourself with. If there are any negatives about the game, it is that the "feel" and movement of the game can take a while to get used to. It is heavier than other games and some even call it sluggish. The best comparison would be Mad Max or Dark Souls. Bottom line, the game is amazing and you'll be able to sink a hundred hours into the main game before even touching the expansions. These are full-fledged sequels of game branded as DLC. Both of the expansions build upon the lore, add new levels and gameplay mechanics as well as amazing new environments to explore. If you haven't already, pick up The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt as soon as you can

This is a wonderful game. It features an open world, interesting quests and dialogue, decisions that truly shape the world, excellent gameplay (both fighting and magic), and it looks amazing. In my opinion, this is the best game of the generation. The expansion packs each add a large amount of game play, so it makes sense to purchase the original game and the expansion packs all at once. Pick this one up!

One of the best games ever made. The main story, combat and crafting systems are all superb. The side quest are varied and don't feel like your typical fetch quests that open world games are filled with. That's not to say there's no go here, get this, come back. There is but each tell it's own little story and they're all great. This edition includes both expansions and each of those is also better than most games that have come out recently. The last one Blood and Wine is pretty much an entirely new game. It's also one of the prettiest games you'll ever see. The world really feels alive with critters roaming the forests as well as monsters to hunt. This is in my opinion the gold standard of how an open world game should be made. I've played through the game and expansions once. I collected all Gear sets and crafted all potions and logged 202 hours. If you need a game that'll last awhile this is it.

Very unique story here, from interesting and original monsters to a set of special abilities hard to put in a box, it is not your regular lore. The graphics are awe inspiring, the world massive and the choices and options keep the story from being too linear.

What can I say about this game that hasn't already been said. The thought and care that was put into this game shows so well. One of the best stories every told in a video game, with gripping characters that you actually care about, beautiful environments populated with interesting people and events to go along. The music is a love letter to the fantasy genre that you can listen to endlessly. And more specific to this version of the game, you get excellent value with a 60+ hours of content for the original game, PLUS two meaty DLC's that perpetuate the legacy of this game even further. Any fan of RPG, casual or hardcore, must play this game.

There is a lot of content in this game. It took me about 70 hours to get through the main campaign while doing the occasional side quest. There is considerably more to do with the expansions. And that's not a bad thing. The story is great and engaging. The combat can be challenging at times but has a pretty good feel to it. The transitions from cutscene to gameplay are smooth. It's hard for me to sink 70 hours into a game these days but this one was worth it. Highly recommend if you like open world action RPGs.

I've read several reviews of this game but really didn't have any clue about it. Almost all the reviews have been stellar but what sold me on this was the Game of the Year selection from EGM (Electronic Gaming Monthly), which I've kept in mind for the past couple years. And of course the price of the game and the complete DLC sold me. I'm in the beginning stages but so far the storyline and graphics and gameplay have been superb and I expect greater things to come during more hours of play.

Fantastic game with excellent visuals. The complete edition has all the DLC! I found the gameplay and story writing superb. I recommend this game to a mature audience. This is the copy to get over the base game for sure. So nice of CD Project Red to through in a map of the in game world. Not many games come with manuals or literature anymore. I love this game as I put in over 80 hours and still have so many quests to do.

The Witcher 3, hands down, are the best game I have ever played in my life for various reasons; first and foremost, the brilliant series of Novels this game was built upon, which gave the game the most powerful and dramatic story I've ever seen in a video game. The storytelling was consistent and amazing, with many different characters, amazing plot twists, and a vast world with different races, realms, and creatures that fight and thrive alongside one another and coexist in the most bloody and spiteful way. Secondly, the gameplay is Awesome and rich, and precisely implemented to exploit the witcher's abilities and test the players' approaches and playing styles. Thirdly, the choices and their consequences; this was a brilliant way of approaching the game by basically saying that there's no moral high ground here; you are a person who has traded. A traveler who was traveling along the journey and got to make choices that will benefit you or others the most and have to learn and live with your choices' consequences. I liked that way more than the ultimate good character or the justified villain, Aka the usual approach to videogame stories. Fourthly, the DLC's can easily be stand-alone games story-wise. Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are too good to be complimentary; the story is marvelous and rich and tragic, which shows us how witcher's choices can come to haunt them. Finally, this game is a work of art, and every gamer shouldn't deprive him/herself of such a wonderful and rich experience.

The Witcher 3 hands down has the best story I've ever played in an Open-World RPG. It looks fantastic, plays fantastic and has a whole lot of content. The Complete Edition also comes with all of the game's DLC which adds an additional 20-50 hours on top of the 50+ hours main game. An amazing package overall.

Witcher 3 Wikd Hunt is still an awesome game after all these years, it cane with the DLCs included for added play time! Only issue is the game still has some of the sane glitches it had 19 years ago where you cant complete some quests, thats its only downside. Would still recommend for hours of game play

I've somehow gone without playing any of the witcher games, boy what a mistake. I enjoy storyline, solid gameplay, open world and character development flexibility, and this game hits them all at a high point. don't miss this. You don't need to play the first two, though there are some plot lines that I don't fully understand b/c i missed the first two games.

This is an exceptional game just like most of everyone says. I bought the game on sale for $25.00 and it has a couple hundred hours of game play if you want to spend that much time exploring the world that has been created. From card games to fights and most importantly the story itself you will be entertained if the open-world RPG is your type of game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an amazing game that does so many things right. Every main quest and side quest is unique. The story is superb and took me places that no game has in a long time. Much of this game has been simplified, making it easier to understand and play than earlier games. It took me well over 100hrs to finish the game with almost another 100 hours added from the DLC after that. My only complaints are the long load times which make deaths even more crushing. And the not so great movement controllers, both on and off the horse. Overall I've been really impressed with The Witcher 3 and it has become one of my favorite games of all time. If you are someone who craves every story tidbit, you will need to have played the earlier games and read the books as they are often referenced throughout the game. If that doesn't interest you then don't worry as it doesn't affect the overall story a whole lot. I would recommend this game to any fantasy RPG lover or anyone who just loves a good story in a game! 5 out of 5 stars

If this isn't the best game I've ever played, it's right up there near the top. The amount of content is absolutely staggering, and it never gets stale. The stories involved in even the side quests are incredibly immersive, some rivaling movies based on the dialog and cutscenes alone. Highly recommended to absolutely any gamer.
